6togo,

The information we have on the Callies Ultra H-beam Connecting Rods is that they are made with premium 4330 forged material, AMS 642 aluminm-silicon bronze alloy pins, and 7/16" modified H11 steel rod bolts. The estimated Hp rating on these is 1200-1300 Hp, and max RPM of around 7800.

Even then, that's their conservative rating.

I wouldn't be afraid of 1800. Keep power out of it down low and I'm sure you could make much more. Over 2000 you might want to be looking into aluminum rods.

Technology has come a long way with new alloys to where aluminum rods are not needed in most applications anymore.

I seen that post about the comp rods and i think he made like 1950hp before they all bent from stress. I only plan to spin it to about 6800-7000 rpm and maybe 1100 whp just wanted to know if i had any grow romm with them if i went a little more but it sounds like they would be just fine!!!

2000+ hp is not most applications. I would't put an aluminum rod in it, but its an option if you had to do it.

Great info. Looks like I bought the right rods for my first LSX build.
