Default Pushrods diameter

Hey all,

I'm rebuilding my ls3 engine and was wondering what diameter pushrods I need to get. I'm using the morel 5290 lifters with tick street heat stage 2 cam. On my heads I have pac double springs with .650 and retainers. I'm also using the upgraded trunion kit by bt. Just not sure abt the diameter of the pushrods.

Thick wall 5/16 should be fine. If it was big solid roller you'd go 3/8 with 100+ wall

Will 11/32 will actually fit ls3 heads with stock rockers?

These are our Tick Performance dual taper 3/8" 5/16" .135" wall push rods that we sell for 250.00 shipped.

If you want the strongest stiffest push rod you can fit in your push rod passage with a stock casting and most LS aftermarket castings, this is it.

I got these exact ones. Went from the comp magnum 3/8" pushrods to these and the trends for twice as good.

You can never have "too big" of a push rod, ever. If it won't fit, make it fit!

Martin,

Can these be made up in non (LS) standard sizes? I'll be running a Cammotion LLSR with T&D shaft rockers. Have no idea what the final length will be, but not likely to be 7.40"...

Martin,

Is the pushrods made to order if it does, what's the turn around time?

And another q. Is the ls3 street heat stage 2 compatible with 418ci ls3 block with low compressions for boost?

What type of metal is used for the tubing? What is the Rockwell hardness rating & PSI tensile strength?

The push rods are made to order and normally it takes roughly 3-7 business days depending on Trend's workload.

We're planning on stocking these in the near future, but only in the more commonly used lengths such as 7.400, 7.425, 7.45, 7.475, 7.500 etc.

The LS3 Stage 2 Street Heat is not a cam I would recommend for a 418" N/A engine, nor would I recommend it for a 418" boosted engine. That cam was designed to work with N/A LS3 engines, or 3.622" stroke LS3 headed engines.

The pushrods are made from 4130 chromoly The Rockwell hardness is RC 58-62 and tensile strength 689 MPa min.
