Comparing flow numbers of various heads is almost useless unless it's all done on the same flowbench. Just like dynos, they all vary quite a bit. The ported 241's I had generated unimpressive flow numbers on 1 bench, well under 300cfm, but they made the most power of any 5.7 combo on 2 different full time tuner's dynos, aftermarket castings included.
What you stated is so true....But there is only 1 small problem, Chris Franks flow sheet and SAM's were number for number within 1 to 3 CFM. They must ship each other the same flow bench that's how we get down in the great state of TEXAS.
So there goes your theory on my particular head. They could and stated they flowed x amount * 370cfm with whatever bench. What I am saying is a 280cc head should outflow a 260cc head with both being as cast. But here's the kicker the stock heads with a Great Cnc - tiny port which is good for port velocity still whoops on the HUGE runner head and is cheaper 1500 complete. LS3 Heads bare $175 x 2= 350 bucks and $1100 for the Cnc program. Simple math 1500 bucks and that's Stage1(Chris has up to a stage 3 flowed over 400cfm with a 380cc and it's the same price as stage1). As I said earlier may as well buy RHS or Brodix LS7 heads bare for around 1200 bucks for the pair. Then send them off for a custom Cnc. These heads add up to around the same price as the DART heads and both require a CNC program.
Dart or no salesman can justify buying these heads unless you just want or have to stay with a LS3 style head & are WANTING A HUGE PORT FOR A LARGE CUBIC INCH MOTOR/ BIG SOLID ROLLER CAM. Dart came out like this was some SPECIAL head with 800 and 700 hp builds. I found this so funny, I just waited till the dust had cleared to show how funny that there selling a COPY of what GM has already made. Funny thing is this head is not for everyone the runner is huge. If you didn't KNOW I LOVE CYLINDER HEADS all makes and models. My favorite part beside a solid roller cam.
If i were to go with this head and my parts list we would be over $4000.oo
LS3 hollow stem 2.165 int. valves: $220, Manley ls3 1.600 exh. valves:$167.00
PAC1238x springs/retainers/locators/keepers: $820.00 add in labor another 400 bucks throw in sales tax 200 bucks. And you still have just a beefier LS3 head.

You got banned for threatening people. The only reason you're still around now is for entertainment value.
No problem I can be entertainment, but what was posted about these heads still holds true. Starting to sound like a broken record about this subject(about yours truly). Do you'all have anything to post about these heads or are you guys, just looking for something to talk about in reference to me. Could we just stick to the thread. Or is it that what I said is FACTS and you have nothing else but to, bring old stuff. MOVE ON.
Here's my thing a guy can come on and talk about someone like a dog call them anything but what is Shown by your user name. So in response I ask for the guy's info...That was no THREAT. A threat is a person or thing *likely to cause damage or danger.
It was not *likely it was a 100% This must be a for WHITES ONLY. Non of the Moderators had anything to say when I was being called all these derogatory names. Hell, he just may as well called me a "ninja". No moderators said nothing about that. So if you ban me oh well these heads are not worth the price that is being ask 4.

Reason: Post that n-word one more time...

You threatened to kick someone's teeth in and make people disappear. Those are considered threats.
I don't care what color you are, the n-word is also a no go here. Don't post it again. Moderators don't see every little post every single day. If someone uses derogatory names towards you, report them. That's what the little button below the posts are for and we can take care of it.
I'm new to the LS combos but been researching a bit.I'm looking to use a junkyard engine to freshen up and use some ARP's etc....Looking at going with a LQ4 with a carb and nitrous. This thread caught my attention and I know GM Performance has a LS3 head part # 88958758 that Summit sells for around $1200 a pair and then I think you'll have to have springs to go with it.Not trying to Hi Jack the thread. But is this a similar head with more work?
If I were to go with LQ4 and spring for a better set of heads.Would the GM heads be the best bang for the buck?I want to run mid to high 5's,it's going in a 2900 Mustang that's already been 1.20 60fts with a N/A SBF?

Similar only in that they are both bolt-on heads for the LS3 engine.
By all accounts, the Darts are a significant upgrade over the stock LS3 heads that you reference. But you gotta pay for them to play with them.
Kip
Nice Numbers! I noticed on this last Dyno Sheet the oil pressure
Is more than 20lbs less through out the pull. Could you share the
Block and oil system along with any viscosity changes. Curious
As to the reasons for the Pressure Drop, from peak of 69 to
47.
Dan
They mentioned that they went to a special racing oil. This was likely a thin oil designed to increase power output. That would account for the an oil pressure drop.

Oil pressures down in the 40's.......is that safe, WOT pressure, for street driven engines?
