For most performance applications I would vote low lash solid roller. My car is a street car but not a daily driver. I do race it both autox and drag. It usually gets about 6,000 miles a year put on it. I haven't revved it over 7,000 rpm yet nor do I know if it will be faster if I do. I have zero regrets going LLSR in this application. I like the extra power, how quiet the valvetrain is, and the stability. Plus I've been seeing more and more issues with GM lifters so it eliminates another common fail point.
My truck is my daily. It never sees over 6,000rpm, and usually never over 4,500rpm. No reason I would swap it to solid.
Most people stay hydraulic due to the costs of adjustable rockers, better pushrods, better lifters, need for taller valve covers, etc. My car is an experiment with using stock rockers and shimming them to set lash. Has worked excellent so far but does take some time to set up the first time.

Things have evolved over the years for sure. The hydraulic roller lifters have gotten much better and can be a great choice for a street performance engine. With that said, our LLR low lash solid roller camshafts for the LS engine have gotten very popular for good reason.
Our LLR Low Lash Roller Solid Street Camshafts deliver the precision high RPM valve train stability that solid cams are known for with the low maintenance dependability and quiet operation that makes sense in a street driven vehicle.
