Well. Had a few hiccups getting this thing ready. Found out it was down on a few holes for some reason. Swapped plugs, plug wires, coils and everything else I could think of. Sent the injectors off to get cleaned and flowed. All 8 of them had their filters clogged up with ****. They’re 120lb injectors but were only flowing around 75-80lb. Got them all cleaned up and flow matched.
The car had been sitting for years before I got it. I didn’t change out the fuel line. So I’m guessing it’s just deteriorated over time. So got all new feed and return line coming. All black nylon braided line and black fittings. New fuel filter. Cleaned the fuel cell out and cleaned the pump and regulator. So hopefully I’ve got that out of the way.
Also found two roller tips on my rocker arms that are bad. So I’ve got them off at crower getting inspected. Hopefully I’ll hear back with some good news from them in a day or so.
Well guys. I’m ashamed. I know it’s disappointing not having some numbers by now. But unfortunately, life did happen. As it usually does. But we bought a new house on a whim. So between getting the new one ready to move in, and the old one ready to sell there’s not been much time to get the car back running. But I finally found some the other night. Got the fuel pump back on, as well as the new rocker arms. Also all new fuel line and cleaned injectors. It fired right up and seemed to idle a lot better and sounds better than the last time I had it out. Oh and got her in her new home. The new shop is a hair bigger than my old one. But I need a lift to go with it now. Once the old place sells that will be first on the list lol.
