Nothing I do is random..... If you looked you would see where I said Flyin had a 402 ls3 heads combo with a Super Vic and the engine was replaced with a 416 same heads and cam combo for around 18 Hp @ the crank. And you have seen and read on others web sites or threads .....that the CID is better READ don't assume. If you read, it's not confusing you were looking for something I never posted.

Hope this don't confuse you. Place the injector higher and you may not need to worry about what a CID does. It would work with a CID also LOL. Well let me see....if you catch this and not get confused you'll catch the main point of the posts. Place the injector higher and trick the engine that it has a Carb while being able to control the fuel rate for each cylinder and not having some cylinders run rich or lean as with a carb. Mast heads and intake used. Little tricks are so confusing....Blk00ss

The carbureted engine in today’s session uses the same components – right down to the manifold – save for a piston and bore that’s .030-inch smaller, resulting in the displacement *drop to 427 cubic inches* from the earlier engine’s 440 efi measurement. With the aforementioned point drop in compression, the Quick Fuel Technology 1050 Dominator-equipped carbureted engine belted out 726.1 peak horsepower, although the torque figure dropped from the earlier variant’s figure to a still-impressive 589.8 mark. The 427 engine with 1 point of less compression was good for 18.2 more peak horsepower on the Mast engine dyno vs the EFI and 4500 TB 440 combo.

Read that article recently. Impressive.

Yea it's well know that carbs make more Hp but how many guys try to figure out how to get back the HP loss with EFI depending on intake used. That's what it all about Che70velle wanting more and not letting problems or just doing things the standard way. BTW have you seen the Zo6 468Ls Eric of HKE now with HHP in Dallas did for the optima challenge. Killed everything in New Orleans and got a invite to SEMA. And they're talking destroked because of Danny Popp not everyone is Danny P. with his expertise. Funny joke is ALL Engines are the same 4 strokes.

Just hugging on EFI nuts, don't mind me

Sorry to Disappoint you but you could Tune EFI with a lower placement injector till.... I"ll leave this point blank. It still doesn't make it up it's the injector placement or where the fuel is coming from not lower but higher is better. Pro Stock, Nascar and others seem to agree.

Well it's to darn cold for the people here with slick road and freezing temps all day. So I made some calls....Wilson, John of CID, J. Marcella never answered my Email or calls hopefully he's busy. The guys @ Wilson recommended the CID intake and said my idea of the higher injector was good thinking and that they've done work on both to the Extreme but for my engine size CID. Called John of CID and told him my idea and said the higher injector was a good idea also to fool it to thinking it was a carb and that it would be the same cost to place the injector in the higher bung of $1k. Well my idea sounded good with the Holley but it's better to ask than to never have asked at all. Me and Darin discussed this a little while back about the intakes not about a teepee top high ram but 105 throttle body

Are you liking the CID intake more than the Holley High Ram 105?
Sent from my iPhone
That depends o the camming, engine cid and intended rpm range of the engine. If you r running in the 3000 to 7500rpm range then the Holley ram. If you’re in the 5500 to 8500+ range, then use the CID.

I know you are into the knowing of stuff KCS, I need to follow Eric myself on Facebook Hate he left! He's still in state though... gotta keep the best in TX. He told me about his move and too watch out for him @ HHR about a year and 8 months ago now cause I was wonder where he was if not in Sealy. I've been asking question from Eric since 07. Good dude! Even offered him lunch for asking so many question back in the day. Here's the build KCS you already probably know of this but maybe for others.

Let me know how you know about his switch to TFS heads. I see him on Facebook and would like to know did he change cam etc... or is it the same basic combo...... I wanna see if the $4500+ is worth it cause I don't think so. He started out with WCCH heads. I have a thread where a guy had Darin flow them before porting and after porting, *runner or nothing else was touch picked up #'s EVERYWHERE*. Let me know and I'll ask him myself. The hell with that I'll send him a message and ask. Did that! I'm not a hater but some of the numbers I've seen are avg for a $4500 set of Ls7 heads with 427,454 big cubic inch for a engine with a FAST or MSD. For $4500 it needs to do some UNUSUAL stuff and I have not seen nothing yet to say they are unusual.
Wonder what could have been done with WCCH cnc program and this guy or someone and save some money if there wasn't anything wrong with the heads. Just a little massage.... but buy a whole new head.... And you have All Pro's. Yea I did a reread Stage 2 factory heads...Read this ole thread.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-and-data.html
I also want to see verified flow numbers for the 265 heads out sourced. Every head I've ever bought or had done I've sent them out to verify what is said. I'm seeing Ls7 heads make 620's+ all day long with FACTORY stuff with the same general cams and compression.
I have a quick question about your car? We are over on Ls1tech and discussing your build and that you switched from WCCH to Tony Mamo heads and what was the difference in Hp/Tq and did you change anything besides the heads?Cam no specs needed but guys are speculating.

Mr Feras Abuqartoumy SAID he never switched heads. Gave the young man the link above with, a little more info if he wants to go further with heads. What's half of 10,000 ........$4500 for a set of basic Ls7 heads for NA. I've overlooked what Tim has said when he said he wasn't willing to pay 5k for a ls7 head swap with his 454 Ls3 running 9's on E85. Oh maybe I did that's why I made my own cheaper.

Hey guys yes as stated I never switched heads but the only reason why is because I ran out of funds. The bottom end is really demanding more air flow so in the future I do need to get something bigger and when I do we should see a jump in hp/tq numbers. Also the headers ive been running are 1 3/4, again lack of funds. All this has been on pump gas. We have been holding back and have pulled about 10 degrees of timing. I am actually in the process of converting to e85 and 2'' headers. Will have it all finished and tuned with numbers this weekend.

08Z only came here only because something was said about him switching heads to over Priced 265 heads and Chevelle asking about his build. He wanted to know so I went and got the man myself. All the hear say and BS is for the birds just like $5k Ls7 heads even if it includes a intake..
