After lme and 8 months with $2000.oo and no work for setting up the head.
West Side did them in a WK. Heads with springs and rockers new wrapped up in the box like new. 2yrs ago... Rowdy heads are the reason for the wait....still needs springs and rockers

Next one will be built for the power it has and be able to use it. Turbo will be used for that build.
Same here.....nothing against them at all.
I have quite a number of friends who roll with f/i C6 vettes here in town, but none of them run HPDE's, nor do they push there cars in the heat of summer in the desert southwest....it's a whole different story there.
A sub 3000 lbs N/A car putting 600-700 RWHP in N/A form can be a handful to drive, and drivability can most certainly suffer is some of the more extreme configurations, but a deep breathing, high winding LS is my cup of tea....especially if you're road racing too.

If you get compression up ...with higher lifts and the ability to supply what's observed with the intake on...as seen without it = Hp. not rpm dependant. Rpm is hp but can be achieved at lower rpm with this train of thought

I type when I can ... But have 1238x springs...most likely wrong # but good for .750 lift. Comp cams pro Magnum 1.8 adjustable rocker arms with a larger stud and truion. Via ER racing and the 376 Ls3 800 hp 8800 rpm build. Still need to get with Jomar or do K Urban stud guirdle. Wrong spelling I no ...time? There are great builder's and helpful...via pm...YB has some big names...

Chris U.. moderator for NA is cool as F...and helpful ...oh yeah gotta modd the stud girdle for the larger stud.

Yes and no. CID is going to limit torque. Rpm needed with less cubes

That's what ****'$ me off...why do a shorter stroke? Crank size and rpm go hand and foot. The high rpm build for the guy in the optima street challenge with the z06 and 388 ci...Hammer?

Forgot the owners name.but he
Took his dumb as back to a larger 440 with the same high rpm. Not that he's dumb but .....$ to Blow

No Replacement for Displacement.
Wish my block had a 4.200 bore & the same 4 inch bottom end. Bigger port needed then...more $

I know it's not Hammer... The guy competes in the SEMA optima street challenge event with a c5 Zo6. Willing to bet this is where Hammer got the idea for a 388. Now a 440 with 8k+ rpm for last yrs event. Hadn't worked it all out yet but 650+ to the rear with minimal testing.

Danny can flat drive. I’ve followed him for several years and the dude can wheel a car around a course like nobody else. Crazy car control. That 388 he runs doesn’t make a ton of power, but you don’t need big power to go fast in the stuff he does. Driver skillz far outweigh what’s under the hood.

Danny is an Awesome Driver absolutely, but I'm gonna put Rich Willhoff in the same
Class, especially since he won the National 2018 Optima Challenge, and the LSFest
Competitions as well in his 2007 C6 Z06. Been going head to head with Danny for
several years now.

Totally agree with you Dan! I was actually glad to see Danny get some pressure in the class.

Same here: Dwill's 408 with 820 hp on a low reading dyno...
Or John B. 427 Ls7 = a Jr version...even had Darin make me a Ls7 head 1 of 1 also.
Later set up = 800+lift and min.14.5 comp 98% street....kinda sounds like John with street use?

Definitely 100 percent in agreement. There's power left on the table when so many intake manifold chop 15 to 50 cfm off of the flow.

What are your views on chamber coatings in general?
