At the speed you’re going the rest of the car is going to offer bigger gains than more power. I think you’ll be surprised at what dropping weight and reducing drag will do for you

Congrats on running 9's! What does the truck weigh with you in it? Why is it only doing 130mph in the 1/4 with a pretty mean 447? My heads/cam LS1 making 430rwhp went 100mph 1/8 and 128.3mph 1/4 (6spd manual 2950lbs with driver). I would think you should be 140mph in the 1/4!

Weighs about 3200 with me in it. My friend runs a nearly identical setup. We are really close in ET and mph.

It's a truck, not an f-body, vette, or RX. Aero comes into play largely past 1/8th

Congrats on the 9's n/a passes man. And yeah the aero of a truck is not going to be like a sports/muscle car especially on the top end of the track, so mph is going to be down.

Much appreciated fellas. I've got lightweight brakes and chrome moly tubular A-Arms on order. Next winter I will go to a Mustang 2 rack and pinion, lightweight steering column, aluminum dash, lexan windows, remove heater core and wiper motor.. Time for this bitch to get anorexic!

Appreciate it . Still has tags,insurance, heat, wipers, and stereo. I don't drive it to work everyday but I do on occasion if my tow truck is in the shop. Always somebody in a camaro,mustang,or challenger that wants to try me........it never works out for them.......lol!

Ok fellas I'm looking for some advice, what could I gain here? Option 1) Ditch the NW 102mm throttlebody, port the opening and install a holley 105mm. OR Option 2) Ditch it all and go to a CID intake and 4500 throttlebody?

102 to 105...maybe 5. CID and 4500 will net you real power at the expense of moving the powerband upward. Valvetrain at that point has to be legit.
