Default New stroker has arrived!

The truck ran a best of 10.26 with the old iron block 421. I'm hoping for 9's with the new engine. I just gotta say this build is making my pants tight in the crotch.....lol! My 1/4 mile ET goal will be 9.99 or faster.
Final specs:
1) 447 cubic inch shortblock from Texas Speed , 4.155 bore x 4.125 stroke with 12.5 to 1 compression.
2) Wiseco -2.8 cc pistons with tool steel wrist pins.
3) K1 technologies crank/rods.
4) Aluminum block with Darton Sleeves.
5) ATI Harmonic balancer.
6) Trick flow Genx 255 ls3 heads with ferrera hollow stem valves, .650 lift springs, titanium retainers.
7) LS3 rocker arms with Chris Straub bushings.
8) .623/.623 lift, 247/261 duration, 113 + 4 lobe seperation. Hydraulic roller cam from Comp.
9) Lod Speedworks intake.
10) Nick Williams 102mm throttlebody.
11) FIC 85 pound injectors.
12) E85 fuel on a 450 lph pump.
13) Hedman Hustler 1 7/8 long tube headers.
14) Fti powerglide with custom 1st gear ratio.
15) Fti 8" stall converter.
16) 8.8 rear end with 4.30 gears.

What headers can you use ?

i love that you have 4:10’s with all that too how do you put the power down ?

Thanks. I'm running 1 7/8 Hedman Hustler long tubes. For suspension I have Moroso drag springs in the front with double adjustable shocks, and in the rear I'm running a ladder bar/coil over set up with a anti roll bar and double adjustable shocks. Tires are Mickey Thompson 29.5 x 10.5 Pro Drag Radials.

Needing advice here, would a cam with less of a split work better with the Genx 255 heads?

Try what u have....dial it in work from there. How much does the truck weigh, as I thought your old combo could hit 9's with a few changes.

Lol....yep it's a little bit heavy. Still has stereo,heater,wipers,carpet, and all metal except hood.

Camaro and 400ish cubic inches around the same weight.... 9's.
Old build the crank ate up the duration, needed a bit more 7500 ish peak, also Ls3 heads and fast style intakes aren't best for a track setup it needs a carb style intake. Fills the cylinder better. Cathedral heads work better with plastic intakes and track duty. Camaros TFS heads and fast, well known for 9's. But with the larger combo it doesn't matter with what you've got.

I'm switching to a LOD Speedworks X1. I think it will work extremely well with this setup.

What did u do with the 421? Also what rpm would you cross the stripe?

It's destroyed. The block is cracked. I shifted at 7k and came across at 7k.
