I don't want to be buying a CID intake twice at our aussie prices.. $1575 for the 4.0 ls7 efi, and $1650 for the 5.0 ls7 4500 efi.

We were going to go with the CID LS7 heads and a 121 F3 Pro Charger when we bought this. So yes it would have to be way radical. When you call there, I have always talked with John. He will let you know which one that would better suite your combo. For instance we have the 4.0 on our motor for the carb. The 5.5 was too big. I can get them way cheaper than that. Wonder what it would cost to ship it to you guys down there. Freakin thing is pretty heavy.

Sweet. Did you get a chance to weigh everything you took off and put back on? Curious to how much weight you lost from this.

I doubt the pricing will end up much different by the time shipping and taxes are added. I just noticed that n/a LS3 heads fox body that BTRtech posted on YB it also has the 4.0 on it, so i think that will be plenty for what i want.

It's amazing how much weight there is converting to strange brakes. And they stop quite good.

ONCE. Too thin a disc to handle repeated full-on stops.

100 pounds static weight is about a tenth of ET rule of thumb - and rotational weight is worth ~3x the static weight so the brakes can have a serious impact here.

The lighter and faster you go the more sensitive to weight the car becomes.

The brakes will definitely have a big impact but i think the control arms will as well. The front end is a lot looser now. Right now i pull the wheels a foot which is about perfect. If needed, i plan to adjust shocks and ladder bars to maintain that launch.

We have had the Strange drag brake setup on all 4 corners on our car for 4 years. Have never had any problems. Still the same pads and rotors. Hundreds of passes that we should have pulled the chute but didn't because they stop so good, plus a lot of events won't let you have a chute, and quite a few street miles too. The guys that put this setup on their cars and dont get rid of the stock brake lines going to the rear as well as the proportioning valve and master are who has problems. (Trying to keep the power brakes) Then getting the right bore on the master is critical as well. The strange master has a built in proportioning valve. All brake lines need to be 3/16 and nothing else. I have set up Ten cars like this and every one of them will tell you the same thing. They stop Killer. None have had any problems either.

I can get the CID 4.0 LS7 EFI intake for a $1000.00. Hopefully it wouldn't cost 575 to ship it. I can find out for you if your interested. Just need to know what city or town you live in.

What a day already.....the speed shop called me 1st thing this morning and said that one of the strange calipers leaked right out of the box. We split it open and saw the o-rings were good, so I figured the mating surfaces weren't 100% true. I drove into work and milled.005 off of it, drove back to the speed shop reassembled and we are now leak free. Just got home ,loaded all my gear, gonna take a nap and then head to the strip. Hoping to break 9.95 today

Well as of today the Junkyard Dog is being renamed The Happy Hooker! The truck came off the line and literally stood on it's back bumper then came down hard. Gonna need an oil pan, transmission cooler, electric fan. There were people coming to the pits for several hours to check out my truck. Looks like im gonna be looking into travel limiters. I've got a helluva video of the pass but can't figure out how to post it here.
