New stroker has arrived!
Ok we will install the rockers but will need different springs as the trick flow springs are only rated to .650. My builder was nervous about using the YT rockers and adding weight over the valve verses my stock rockers at 7500 rpm. I have no problem going to 7600 on the shift. I went from bias ply to drag radials last year and picked up 1/10.
I use solid roller but pac1209x springs with yt roller rockers for stable 7800 rpm shifts
Also note shift extensions on shift. If you falling more than 1000 rpm on shifts it will lay over

What springs would you recommend for me? The lift will be .660 with the 1.8 rockers.

My 8" I have now with the 427 flashes 5300 but haven't tried the brake yet. I'd guess it's close to 6000. With that glide I wouldn't be worried about it.
Ask for the most torque multiplication you can get off the line with the most efficiency at the finish line and 6200 stall will work great. Shift around 7500 maybe a little higher.
It’ll fall into the converter on the shift and pull like a ****.
I’ve had great luck with a mechanical diode vs a sprag at that power level with a trans brake. Do not go spragless.
With a powerglide the magic is in the converter.

If they nail the efficiency at the top end you can have your cake and eat it too.
The same converter before we tightened it up a hair was going 7600 at 130, but was hitting harder off the line. The car was trying to turn over backward with more power from the 4” stroke.
