Once i had car home from the dyno i checked over the engine , noticed the fan belt had frayed front edge, pulled it off and it had actually lost1/2 inch off the width.
Stuck a new one on and when driving tonight i hear a slappity slap in engine bay , pulled over n had a look and the fan belt had lost bout 1/4 inch off width.
No sharp edges on pulleys, none are buckeled or loose. Hadnt done it before tuners..... Ill take em all off and replace with new
Just dealt with this exact problem. It’s your tensioner as said above. Get a manual tensioner and your golden. I went with the Katech tensioner and bought a couple of the GatesRPM belts just to be sure. No problems since. It’s rpm/belt acceleration related.

By manual tensioner do do you mean the one where you lock in place?

yes.i have the katech tensioner, had an ICT billet manual tensioner but would not work with Gzmotorsports vacuum pump. So if you plan to put a vacuum pump, get the katech

If you guys have room on one of the heads. Power steering delete or tensioner delete. I made a bracket that fits to the head and the GZ Motorsports pump and then you can run a superset belt to a crank driven mandrel. If you have room in front of the crank anyway.

Ok , ive been thinking whats best. Decision is call Aviaid on tuesday morning( monday your time) order a stage 4 dry sump kit... That fixes my quest for a few more ponies and will address my pulley set up as a whole.

So to have the car running until i order and its delivered i made the oem tensioner into a manual. Worked out where on fulrum the belt was tight, held it in place while i drilled a hole rite thru the tensioner and put bolt thru
Works a treat

Does your air intake cover the radiator? Hows that work?
That's my procharged car. The intercooler is in front of the radiator and the charge pipe is coming out of the top of the intercooler. They are probably 1/4" apart so the air passes through them and doesn't become turbulent in between two.
That makes perfect sense... How do you like the procharger, would you rate it against turbos?
I love ProChargers. I've never ran a turbo. They're awesome just not for me. At least for now. I'll build one eventually. I like the sound of a Procharger and I feel they're simpler for racing. I like grudge style arm drop racing, flashlight start also. Turbo cars are awesome, but you better be on your game when you're staging and building boost etc. Guys that have their routine down are hard to beat but most people aren't that good at their staging routines that I've come across. I pull up to the line and I'm on boost as quickly as I can smash the gas pedal. I sacrifice a little power turning the blower with the crank but I'm good with that for now.
Decided while im waiting for the aviaid setup to arrive id throw an aeroflow tensioner on, I have some land 100miles from home and didnt want to risk using my bolted together tensioner...
arrived without issue. Lovin the power out on the open road, makes overtaking much safer. Did a few laps in the paddock to which the kids love...
Will dry sump cool engine oil more than wet sup. Im thinkin in theory it will

Not sure about dry sump having a cooling effect.
It will definitely keep the engine well lubricated at higher RPM's and also on the racetrack in high g cornering.
How high are you revving your engine to?
7400rpm mate.... I will get it back on the dyno next week and get a print out to see where ill set my limiter at. Its still pulling hard at 7400rpm. This cam kicks in bout 3000rpm then when you hit 6000rpm it kicks hard again.

my rev limiter is set at 7500.
That's the rpm my HP begins falling off.
Wet sump would be at the limit but if it's not a drag car and you aren't driving it hard all the time it should be ok.
i hope you have a high pressure pump installed too.
