Then it's off with the heads to check the pistons out and see what we can do with a new cam/head combo... it will be a Mamo.

Sorry to hi-jack your thread btw. Have been following the other one on HSVForums for years
What heads are you running? Have you seen the VR Senator with lsx454? He's using jenvey ITBs , big solid roller and they seemed to be holding it back.
Im in Melbourne also so if your ever need a part ive usually got parts lying around.
HSV forum is slowing down a lot now.... You would know all the trials and tribulations ive been thru to get here then lol

Wow. That cam is TINY for a 427. Usually when someone say 427 stroker I think ls3, because the ls7 was 427 stock. So small cam, likely ls3 heads, poorly or nonadjusted itb. Good news is you have plenty of opportunity for gains.

Once i had car home from the dyno i checked over the engine , noticed the fan belt had frayed front edge, pulled it off and it had actually lost1/2 inch off the width.
Stuck a new one on and when driving tonight i hear a slappity slap in engine bay , pulled over n had a look and the fan belt had lost bout 1/4 inch off width.
No sharp edges on pulleys, none are buckeled or loose. Hadnt done it before tuners..... Ill take em all off and replace with new

I would check the crank pulley and power steering pulley if you have one. My vette was doing the same thing and the power steering pulley had walked a bit.

Treed me. Definitely the way to do it if you can on your setup. I think I read you have the solid katech tensioner which is a lot better but might as well delete an entire pulley if you can.

Throw one on.
I have the mezeire 55gpm pump.
Runs silent.
You can't hear it at all.
Running an lsx block it would really help with the heat iron blocks generate.

I don't know if you have your hvac system still or not but I deleted mine and Meziere came out with a high volume race pump, 55gpm, that I am using. Then I converted to 16v so it runs at an even higher gpm now.

Iron Blocks Retain more heat than Aluminum Blocks.
Neither of them "generate" heat.
