Chassis is a 2005 pontiac GTO.
I have a rebuilt diff, with an Eaton tru trac centre all new bearings etc.
Stock axles, shafts and rear end with upgraded suspension using bilstein parts.
Thats a very large camshaft.
Should drive like a stock cam.

If she would make you sell it because she doesn't like it she ain't worth it. Don't let any woman dictate what you should or shouldn't do. You take the reigns but make sure her needs are met of course. Lol. That just told me you are very young. My bad, I thought you said you wanted it so your wife can drive it. Must have been someone else.

A car that instills fear in others is a good thing. LOL

I think a 3600rpm is just perfect for a street car and for my build.
May be, but not optimal for that combo. A larger stall will not hurt your street driving at all. So why not get what will make the car run the best it can. You will be happy you did.

Very young? What gave it away.
i wish i was.
Definitely don't want any more stall.
I wonder if the more cubes and higher torque output will make my stall tighter or looser.

One says tight the other says loose. lol

My guess is looser also.
I imagine it would become tighter with less torque.
If it ends up being too loose I will definitely have it remodified.

That is no guess. Fact. I have the data logs to prove it.

When we first started going to the track with this build. No one and I mean No one thought it was an LS. Everyone thought it was a Big Block. Because thats how it sounds. Everyone would come and say man that is good running big block you got there, and I would just smile and say Thanks. Lol.

I'm not talking about flashing the converter on launch. Obviously more power can blow through the converter. I thought you were asking about normal every day driving as I hope you wouldn't be concerned around "driving manners" at WOT other than how hard it pulls . Low speed driving with more lowend i.e. torque, just like more gear, will make a converter feel tighter.

One story then i'm out. Last day we went to the track last year we got to the starting line and the staging guy comes up to me and says the guy behind you in the mustang wants to know if you want to race. I said sure. So he lines up. Bulbs go green and away they go. Pulled 2 cars on him right out of the gate and he got the jump on the hit. It stayed that way all the way through the traps. Thought to myself Dam that car was pretty quick. Went back to our pit and that is when the jig was up. That guy came flying over to us on his golf cart. We had the hood off. We didn't see him coming or it would have been on. First thing he says is. A ******* Ls and throws his hands up and takes off. We were like what was that all about. We didn't even know that was the guy we just raced. So I watched him go over to that car so I jumped on are cart and went to see what was up. He tells me he is running a 565 big block Ford on Alcohol and was spraying 300 too. Then he asks me what we were spraying and I say 200. Then he asks how much our car weighs and tell him 3350 race weight and he says this just keeps getting worse. His car only weighs 2800 race weight. I said wow you must have something wrong and he gets pissed and says he has never had anyone take him out with a car that heavy before. Especially only spraying 200. Lmfao I said well I guess there is a first time for everything. If we would have sprayed 300 we would have really gapped the **** out of him.

Lol.
Good one.
Mick, I'm not saying your setup does not make torque, it does and i like it. It's a great setup.
i can hear the tyres chirp at about 4000rpm.
When i say low end im talking about in the 2000rpm range where i am with my automatic. Yours is manual so it's different.
Don't forget I only want power to 7000rpm which is the sweet spot for the cathedral setup.
i think we see things differently here.
If you have read my thread Tony explains the differences between the ls7 and cathedral.
The cathedral by nature just makes more power and torque in the lower rpm ranges up to about 6000rpm. Sharper throttle and part throttle in these rpm ranges too. It is what it is. It's in no way putting down the ls7 heads.
The ls7 has other strengths the cathedrals don't have and these advantages are not as important to me.
Don't take it as an attack as it's certainly not my intention.
Once my engine is complete we can meet up and go for a drive in each others vehicle so we can feel the differences.

Holden are finished.
They messed up.
The final nail in the coffin for GM was naming their current car a Commodore.
This did not reflect what a commodore was.
People were not happy.
I wonder if they had renamed the vehicle, if their success would have been more fruitful.

Commodore is an old Opel name. It was used on some of the fancier Opels.

If your free this weekend i can come down your way and we go for a spin so you know exactly how the ls7 heads works with everything.
Just think the ls7 heads leave you more room to grow. You want torque, ls7 with the fast long runners will achieve what you want. Then if you want more later swap in the short runners n a bigger cam...If you want max effort you wont achieve it with the 245s.
As it stands now with the build id go a. 245/252 .704 .701 113+2 cam.
Itll be an awesome build any which way.
