Roller bearings it is! Still waiting on heads and intake from FED...glad it's off-season

Was talking to engine builder yesterday organizing machining of my lifter bores and. He said they were using crower hippo with needle bearings in road circuit race engines revving to 8400rpm and getting about 2000 miles out of them then 2 yrs ago started using crower with bushing , now they get 4000miles

Finally back from FED for a valve job and had chambers softened for N20. The new 4.5 intake is out getting plumbed with a dry kit and should be back in a week or so. Yep I'm gonna fck around and find out!

Will be engine dynoed but a diff place down in NC. Hoping for 831+HP 😆

Cost was $600
I didn't do back to back comparisons but CID claims a 7lb weight savings for LS intake (also removed top injector bung). Mine might be a little lighter since I had FED open up the plenum to accept 6500TB.

Apparently CID offers a "lighter" version of that intake now. Saw something on FB there other day about it.

Houston, we have a problem. Intake going back to FED to get the port match corrected. Unsure which TB they used so my Accufab 6500 will be headed their way for proper alignment. My head hurts.

FED made good on their error by fixing the port and turning around the intake in a week (shipping on them too). Learn from my mistake and if a shop is going to port match anything, don't assume they have what's needed. Send them everything. In my case it was the intake AND the throttle body.

New nitrous combo almost complete. And man the 6500 TB is so much bigger than the 4500.
