Not 118 or 119. 118.5.
And 2.5 advance.
Not 2 or 3. 2.5.
You can't argue with that kind of hair-splitting! LOL
Meh, in the end it's just a 232/242 with IVO @ 0 BTDC , EVC @ 0 degrees ATDC and no overlap. ;-)

Same IVO/EVC/Overlap if you add 4 degrees exhaust duration to their Stage 2 LS7. Nuttin' fancy with those numbers when you look at it that way! lol

What do you gentlemen think of this?
It is nearly identical to what I recommended in my first post. I like that they went a bit higher than usual on the lift for the bigger engine and high flow heads. It is a little bigger version of the cam I ground for my 402 with the same objective - stealth cam that will make some power.

I'd just pull the trigger with them - you'll be very happy with it.

I already have this cam laying around 236/248 .634”/.634” 117 LSA +3 advance.

How would this compare with the one they spec'd for me?

I certainly prefer this grind.

It's actually a pretty significant jump. You wouldn't think so at first just looking at the numbers, but you'll go from zero overlap to 8 degrees, and that will affect the sound and some low rpm off idle stuff, if you are particularly sensitive to it. The one you have laying around is going to be relatively mild in a 454 (compared to the cams guys on here tend to run with that large a motor), but not stock-like, as compared with the cam motion spec, which will be much more stock-like.

Given your OP and follow up posts, I would advise you to go with the cam motion cam rather than to use the one laying around.

Say for example, you decide to use the one laying around, because you can always swap it out if you don't like it. Fluids, gaskets, and potentially pushrods can end up more expensive than the cam

You've reached paralysis by analysis.

TBH, if I had that cam laying around, I'd just use it and get the car running. If you don't like it, order the cam motion cam, which will be milder. There are hundreds or even thousands of possible combinations, and you can really twist yourself into a know. In the mean time, you're not enjoying the car. Just get it running.

My gut feeling is that you will end up ordering the cam motion 232/242

Words if wisdom. This is exactly what I had in mind. Thanks!
