Mavn has a Great build although E85, the 800fwhp Sandlot can be approached with the basic knowledge that a cam swap can net that with enough TB and cam lift.

Same idea I've been had...just changed to being content @ 93 octane. Keep the same basic principles cam lift and induction.👍 248'ish cam at 14.1 should net 720 to 730. Changed to a S/R would net 740 to 750.
The shorter duration is what keeps 750 from being 800. Also TB or Carb being used.

I've never had PRC heads have valve issues knock on wood. Lol

Yes they are PRC 260cc ls3 heads.

Have a set of comp 1.8 ratio roller rockers on the way so that will help these heads out tremendously since they shine with higher lift.

So ...cam specs with the 1.8 rocker

247/255 .662 .651 113.5

Mavn, don’t cut the hood. Run it without the hood for a race or two, and get your data. I’ve seen quite a few Vette guys cut their hood, run the car, hate the hi-ram, take it off, buy a hood, etc. Wait and see if you actually like it first, before cutting.

That high ram will cost you power below 6000 rpms. If you plan to daily drive this car, put the stock intake back on. If it is only for racing, then plan on shifting well past 7000 rpms.

I take joy in cutting hoods! But true he may want to run a ported split intake with a 4500 throttle body on top one day! Personally I love vettes with hardware and exhaust sticking out the hood.

You don't even notice the difference when daily driving, I went from a FAST to a Super Vic still drove perfectly fine. Less low end can help street traction, any decent NA build shifts way above 7000 when giving it the wood.

Why would losing like 20 hp lower in the band make it less enjoyable to daily drive??

Edit: i shiftedthre stock heads and fast 102 at 7400 lol
