So while I still wait for the trans to be finish assembled (my guy was getting it together and found that the output shaft liberty sent him was not for a corvette since it was about 6" shorter lol)... I decided to play a bit with Desktop dyno. I think it is a little bit optimistic, but how much, not quite sure. This is flywheel numbers obviously. I feel that it should peak a bit higher (closer to 7500 or so) but I would be fine with this curve if it comes down to it.

looks about 760peak, and with a 12% loss, has you 660ish to the wheels. You have a nice build but idk if its enough to put 660 down.

I don't feel like digging up what I did a few months ago, but i sim'd my setup (not on desktop dyno) that i just took out of the car and it was about 50hp high on the fllywheel estimate compared to track times and the dyno curves i had. It nailed the shape of the curve though, so that was cool.

Oh I 100% agree lol. Realistically I see this thing maybe being 700-720 crank at most. Which would be like 610-630 wheel.. Even then, 630 will probably be a bit much. I'd put my eggs in the 600-615 basket probably. I did this mainly for the curve as well. I feel that it will probably peak further to the right (7500ish).

I think they did a build similar to this in a magazine (408 I think) and it was like 708 hp (around 7,000 rpm) and tq was like 577 (at like 5,500 rpm).

I would love to see that article if you can remember what magazine it was. But I think that is very realistic.

Unless it is the Borowski 408 they did for that sweepstakes. It made 717/608 with a fast hi ram and RHS LS3 heads. Less compression than mine and it peaked at 6800.

They did another similar 408 that made 740hp/625ctq. Once again, these are all ls3 headed/fast hi ram. But all peaking in the mid to high 6k range.

Definitely will be a stout combo. I feel that maybe the cam duration could be a bit more being a solid roller? Straight up specs are bout the same as mine at 244/266. I think mine could have used some more lift but that was Brian's decision lol. Are you running the 255s out of the box?

How much lift does your cam have? Yes the 255s are out the box but milled to 63cc.

My cam was designed with the intention of shifting @ 7500ish. Peak at 6800 to 7000.
