Thats why, oem rockers dont like high lift profiles, causes geometry issues and excessive wear. Even 630 is pushing it, but doable. Hopefully you have powdered metal guides.

Well some unfortunate news. My buddy who was putting my trans and diff together (and these are his issues that he is aware of to fix going forward in life) wasn't quite honest on the communication side of the build. I was under the assumption that he already had the gearset back from Liberty, along with needing the correct mainshaft for the trans which liberty had sent the wrong one.. Anyways, he had the new mainshaft for about 2 weeks and I was getting annoyed with how long it was taking to get put together. I finally told him that I was picking everything up finished or not this past weekend. He then dropped the bomb on me that Liberty still has my ****. I am not really mad at him, more so just tired of the whole situation. Liberty says they have had the machining and welding side of the faceplating done for the past 2-3 months, but they were waiting on new 3/4 hub sliders (that they make in house) to finish the kit and send it off to us. They tell me the end of this week/early next week to have them and get it shipped out.. I am not holding my breath though .

So I have been trying to slowly get the car back together. Had the machine shop index the Quicktime bellhousing I had for it when they built the motor to get it out of the way for me. Fast forward to 2 saturdays ago and I go to put the torque tube in the bellhousing, and it won't line up... I mess with it at a few angles, removed the slave to make it easier... NOPE. Still wont line up. So I compare the index plate from QT to the torque tube, and the hole to indicate off of isn't concentric with the input shaft.. So a buddy and me check how far out, and then we scribed a new hole to bore the plate out to. But judging by many others success with standard dowel pins, and seeing the direction the tube was off compared to the bell and plate, it made sense that standard dowels would have worked fine.

So this past saturday, another friend helped me get the motor back down out of the car and swapped the offset dowels for the standard set. Put the QT back on, and try to stab the tube in again.. STILL WONT LINE UP.... <insert angry face here>

I say F it and started looking for another stock bell.. Find one from someone in Indy for free (bless his heart) and made the 9hr round trip to get it and got home at 2am Sunday morning. Great success!..... Until I get woken up to this at 9am on Sunday morning..

Kid dropped his phone, reached down for it and stabbed the go fast pedal. Demolished the front half of my garage and some of my neighbors. Currently dealing with his insurance on damages to the car and my personal items. Landlord is dealing with his insurance to fix the garage.

Cleaned some of the interior of the garage up, but realized the car will need to be in rolling condition to get it out of there so the garage can be rebuilt. So started on it Monday night getting the new bell housing on it and last night got the rest of the drivetrain attached to the engine. Gonna get the entire drive train lifted up into the car and fastened, along with the suspension bits tonight. Not much left after that to get it off the jack stands and off to the shop to get the exhaust work and other things done.. Along with the new body damage that needs fixed lol

Got everything completely in the car tonight. Maintenance crew came by today to put a support under the front corner of the garage to support it. Sounds like they're talking about possibly tearing the entire garage down and rebuilding it.

Jesus, what are the odds of this happening? Could have been much worse I suppose…
Sucks that you have to cobble it all back together to get it out of the way now. What’s the story on that bare block laying in the floor?

I don't think a lawyer is necessary on my end since it's not my home. Just the townhouse I rent. Only thing I'm going after his insurance for is the damage to the car (which is miniscule) and a few items that were damaged in the garage..

That's my ls6 block that was originally in the car.. That's one of my predicaments.. The block got tossed across the floor in the accident. Took a small gouge or two in the deck.. Not sure if it's good to use, will need to have the machine shop look it over. But my thing is what do I even value it at?

It IS AMAZING what happens in Florida! OP-Good luck on getting your car done, and hoping you get that house sooner, rather than later....

So decided to switch things up a bit on the motor. The car was going to be headed to the body shop anyway to get other work done besides what just happened with this accident. But got to thinking (with some persuasion from @jayyyw ).... The stock hood was going to need about 1500 or so worth of work to it to clean it up, install aerocatch latches, fiberglass work, paint, etc)... I decided to order a VFN sunoco hood for the car.

Problem is.... The hi ram, spacer, and shearer lid still wouldn't fit under the VFN haha... So what to do now? A flatter intake lid and some throttle bodies on top doesn't sound so bad at this point.. So picked up a low ram yesterday, have the holley dual 4500 lid on order, along with a prospeed cable pedal kit. Going to order two accufab progressive 4500s, going to be a similar setup to @rkupon1 aside from the hi ram (there would only be 5/8" of clearance between the vfn and the 4500s if I kept the hi ram). With the low ram, the holley lid and the 4500s now, I should have around 3.5" of clearance, so I may put the spacer in still closing that up to 2.5" which I think is enough. Had my buddy come by this morning and we put some layout dye on the low ram flanges and bolted it to the heads. Went in and scribed the port shape of the head to the manifold as you can see below the difference between the hi ram port work that Paris did, compared to the box stock low ram.

Basically found even after scribing the head port shape to the manifold, getting close on the gasket match would get us there. So my buddy will get this knocked out over the next week or so for me.
