Its a brake water dyno@Kaase's, im told and there wasnt any smoothing im guessing. Fueling is in line with hp numbers also. But what do I know. I guess we ll call it 630hp and 572tq. I dont know enough to argue it one way or the other. Sorry. Carry on. Any other dyno s around, im game in the name of science?!

The old Engine Masters super low RPM format is kinda B.S. because of how many extra points you get for very low end torque, lower than these engines would see WOT at in anything other than the Engine Masters dyno cell. In the real world a street/strip engine would gladly trade 20ft-lb at 2000 for 50 ft-lb at 7000.

Thats a very skewed outlook. Heres why, Eric doesnt set the rules for the competition. He s given them. The same as the other competitors. Wether or not they are silly is irrelevant. Those rules were designed to focus on AVG power. Im quite sure if the competition was geared towards what you are describing, thn he would have built a different motor to compete with. Its kinda like the tax code, you dont fault the millionaire who takes advantage of them. He didnt write them? He s just playing the game. Sound familiar? Every competitor in those challenges had the same rules to play by. Am I biased? Yes,of course I am. I do believe this engine made well over 800hp. Id bet the cost of shipping to n from another dyno of choice. I ve learned alot having conversations with Eric. What I really learned, is what I do not know. Now I get it, you guys are kept in the dark because of lack of cam specs or the amount of work put into just the intake manifold alone. He s done some things i ve never seen on this forum. It sucks that he s not willing to share those details too. But thats his choice. Id be damn proud to show all of you if it were me. I ve learned, thru Eric and even Corona/Smokey/Dark matter, there is a big difference between guys who can assemble engines. Than theres guys who can build competitive engines even within boundaries. It why despite bitchn n complaining the whole time, I chose to stand by and wait the time it took for him to build this engine. I hate that the dyno has irregularities, i really do. He provided an explanation that seemed reasonable to me. If its off by 10 or 15hp, than so be it, i still think its a killer set up. So anyone aware of any other engine dynos who wanna play in the name of science? Chassis dyno wont tell us much as im running a big stall converter with no lock up thru a 4l80 and ford 9". I wouldnt be surprised to see 20%-22% or more drivetrain losses. Having said all that, there are some stout engine combinations right here on this forum that go unnoticed. Anyone calculate what Darthv8r s engine is making with a plastic intake? Him n I have had some pretty good discussions privately for past year or so. I may ir may not have slipped some private details to him just for discussion. I can tell you this much, he damn near guessed perfectly what this engine made on the dyno prior to it even being finished. It seems the math is mathin. Che70velle has also been in a few discussions between us. He knows a thing or two about a thing or two. Look at what Lews motor just made, plastic intake, smaller cam than mine, etc. It had excellent results and wasnt even max effort, right down to the headers he used on the dyno.

The rpm reference chart that RK has posted here is hard to understand because of the way the dyno is loading/unloading constantly. This is the way that dyno’s work and actually the graph charts that you see 99% of the time, are simply an average or a mean of what the reference chart is showing. Eric will get RK a smoothed graph and you guys will see how this works itself out in real-time. No doubt the engine made 830 and in fact Eric could have got 15-20 more if he pushed it. No fancy “magic” dyno headers here either guys. It’s a legit 830+ Hydraulic crammed engine that will be street driven.

It is not normal to see the dips and swings that your dyno results show. I am not trying to be rude, but I have been around engine dynoing for years and years on both Stuskas and Superflows. The dyno/or the operator are the issue with your experience. The way the load is applied can be adjusted up or down, as can the range and sweep of the pull, basic engine dyno operation 101. I am sure your engine will rock in the car. I'd love to see a back to back engine dyno comparison (been there, done that!) but that is alot of work and time just for the sake of racing dynos. Put in the car and enjoy it. It is somewhat tasteless to argue that what you posted is a 'normal' dyno experience, because it is definitely not. Again, not being rude, just stating facts. sorry, carry on.

What was the point of this? What is the topic of this statment? Did you even read what I wrote?

Your engine is fine. Pretty impressive. My pointing out that WOT torque numbers at 2500 is irrelevant in the real world and that the Engine Masters rule set of starting runs at very low RPM and stopping at 6000 and then giving points based on AVERAGE power (including areas of the torque curve way below what is practical or even relevant) is hooey and that no street or race engine should emulate the formula that has your engine peak out so early is pretty decent reasoning. Engine Masters engines are science experiments, internet advertising, not street or race engines. They're not poorly built at all, lots of effort and skill, but they're built for a number, not built for a car.

Back to the positives here Ryan has him self one badass hydraulic roller under 7000 rpm na engine that made over 800 hp on pump gas with very friendly compression. Congrats again brother very happy for you!!

Amen.

It made 827hp and 669tq on consistent sections of the run. Nice setup.

Sadly they don't look this clean after all the hoses and wires are plumbed...but it sure looks great here!

^^^thats the right attitude...you my boy blue^^^
its win win for ya. If it drives terrible, its because its a racecar with air conditioning. If it drives great, its because the tune(r) is worth his salt!
