Default Forged Pistons

What would be the optimal PTW clearance for Forged pistons? I understand they swell a little more than Hyper. I’m running 10 psi boost Pro Charged? Any input greatly appreciated!

Every manufacturer will give you that spec on the detail sheet. Most will even have add or minus specs for aluminum block, drag, road race, etc..

Summit Pro Ls pistons are 2618 and run with .004 piston to wall metal to metal. The skirt coatings take up some of that for less net clearance. The skirt profile (cam and taper) is critical to good wear and less cold start noise. When I get the Block cleaned up not sure if .005 or .010 will be the number can I just contact summit tech support and get help putting together the correct Forged rotating assembly?

Almost that easy. We currently have pistons in 4.005 bore but skip to 4.030 after that and have .040 too.

Would be looking at 4.070 or 4.075? Would these be an option for you to find?

Now those we have in spades…+4.080. We have the 6.125/.927 versions and the 6.098/.945 versions. The 6.098 rod version’s bigger pins are stronger so we recommend those for boost. Here’s a selection for you.
