Brad,
I don't know the exact set up of your car; but it almost sounds like...now that the engine is breathing easier, it's not pulling exhaust....have you tried adding or reducing backpressure? what type of exhaust are you running?
just a thought..

If the LSX does not perform then I will unhook the exhaust just to see.

Looks like I may have time to do some testing with an LS6/PTB as well.

So what would happen if you take the ls6 intake and the ls2 intake and install the TPIS 90 mm tb and ran it. because some people are saying that the TPIS one is better than the fast. If some one does this then we can see some better results. It is just a thought though.

A throttle body is just a valve. As long as there are no obstructions blocking the air-way, 90mm is 90mm...And, tossing a 90mm unit onto a 75mm intake inlet isn't a good idea. Loss of pwr could actually occur in comparisson to a well ported/shafted 75mm unit.

The problems with the FAST TB were not in the power department. I originally had a FAST TB on it. Now I have the TPIS 90mm. Much better quality.

After installing these intakes, how much time are you giving the PCM to relearn the airflow changes? I have read where it can take up to 100 miles of driving to get the computer to relearn fuel trims after intake or exhuast changes.

When the LSX goes on tonite I will have about 100miles or so on it befor eit goes on the dyno for tuning. With the LS2 I had about 400 miles on it before tuning.

When I change out to the LS6 on the Dyno I will not be able to put that many miles on it between the swap. But we will tune for max power with each intake.

If the LS6 works out to be better I will just get a 78mm top for the LSX sell the LS6 n call it Christmas. Then I will already have the 90mm TB and top for when I upgrade in a few months. If I dont need it then I will sell it.

This is only true for part throttle or idle conditons. At WOT, the PCM does not use LTFT or STFT for fuel enrichment, it goes by table values so the comparision will be valid immediately after bolting the intakes on and adjusting timing or A/F on the dyno since the motor will be at WOT on the dyno.

Hey Brad, did you have any fitment issues with your intake?
The reason I ask is, I just got mine from KJ@SDPC and the front coolant tube is holding the front of the intake 1/4"-1/2" up from seating.
And on top of that, if it does seat, I dont think it's gonna clear the corner of my Meziere water pump...

Well I dont have an EWP but mine was the same way. As well as an LAX intake I installed a few months ago
Just tap it down lightly with a hammer to get it to bend slightly out of the way. Hopefully it will clear your WP.

What TB are you using?

I'm getting the TPiS 90mm from KJ. I hate to grind ANYTHING at this point as it will KILL that parts resale value if it doesn't work

I might have to ditch the Meziere...

Red Is the LS2 and Blue Is the FAST.

Used the Same TPIS TB. Only change was the intake. These are the max power numbers for both intakes.

Same Dyno too.

Track on Sunday!!!
