Track Results of LS2 Intake
All in all we have made 30 pulls on the rollers.
Brad
I'd like to see what the difference is between the LSX90 and that on a h/c 346 setup.
Thanks
Ben

This is getting to be an expensive year.
There are others on this board that have seen Gains from the LSX on a H/C 346 vs an LS6/PTB.
Look at this Intake as an Investment. It Will not be a large Increase for the money spent. But It has alot of features that make it valuable. It still costs to damn much tho!
If you are worried about cost just get an LS6 with a ported TB.

I'm installing a 12 bolt, changing driveshafts, nitrous kits, MAF's, airlids.....
It won't be a fair comparison

Hey, Is FAST intakes paying you to post. lol
I wish
It looks like the LS2 intake doesn't make any more power than the LS6 intake, and a lsx 90mm usually gains around 20hp/20torque over a ls6 intake/ported tb on a heads/cam 346, so I wouldn't expect the ls2 to make big gains over a ls6 intake.
I have the 78mm lsx on my car now, but I was going to take that off in a week or two and test it against the ls6 and then the 90mm a couple of weeks later.

I would like to see more results from a larger CID motor.
Check out Derty's post in this thread.

They made more power on a 383cid with the LS2 over the LS6. But the gains were not untill 5000rpm.
Brad
Other testing has shown the LS2 intake picking up a tiny bit of power over the FAST 90 under 5000 rpm.
Im wondering perhaps if you didnt get your power back until you put the old 2000 fuel rails and FPR back on.
chris
I did not have the gauge hooked up yesterday with the 2000 rail because I have some speed inc rails on the way. I left the sender off because of that.
If I loosepower with the Speed Rails then I will know that was the problem.
We did not have any fueling issues with either rail tho.
The first pull on the Fast intake with the tune for the LS2 we made 1 more hp.
But it was lean as Fark(14.8)
Could you link me to where Derty talked about the regulator?
Thanks!

I think somehow something was a little off, and I dont think it was the intake airflow.
I have a LS2 intake,TB, rail and injectors ready to go and am desperately searching for a reason to be optimistic. It does not seem likely from all we know that the intake would be -20 hp penalty as compared to a FAST ???
Keep in mind that the LS6 fuel rail does not have a regulator it looks like it does but it is called a pulsator. Not sure exactly what it does. The regulator is in the Tank and the Fuel system IS a return system. The return is in the back of the car there is a tee before the filter.
Just from looking at the runners in both intakes I can see where the LSX would have more port velocity. Thats just from lookin though.
If you think there was something else wrong but don't want to post here just send me a PM or hit me up on AIM Chris.
