From what I understand that is going to be a big bore production block, and should be priced alot less than the C5R block. It will be a wile before we get our hands on one! We will not even see pricing for another 6 to 8 mounths I'm sure. It could be a year from now before we see any of these being shipped to us.

i am looking into getting a new engine but cant really find a whole lot of info on what parts i am going to need. I know this block is a really good deal though. Can somone link or tell me what all parts i will need to get this engine to run? I know of just the cam headers and heads right now. Just what like misc parts will i need, where can i get them, can you guys sell those also in some kind of a package, and how much would you guess the entire engine will set me back?

Do all/most the ls1 parts just bolt up to it? I just read that somewhere about the intakes and a few other parts. If so that would be great, I CANT FIND LS2 PARTS ANYWHERE!!!!

Anyone have any info on good cam grinds to use for these kinds of engines, would comp cams design one for me?

so like i just want a list of everything i need to build this engine to get it to run in my car.. like every part.. i searched and asked but no one seems to want to tell me really. Do/can/should i just use ls1 parts except the heads and intake.. i have yet to find any fuel rails manifolds and i guess i just use rockers from an ls1 and a cam from an ls1 unless i decide to get a diff cam, not sure yet. HELP!!! im so lost and confused.

I have a v6 so im deff not picking up on some things and others are slightly confusing. I'm just working on figuring out this swap for the summer.

A little patience and the reading of the FAQ and a rereading of the LS2 402 threads will tell you everything you need to know. The last 6 wks of these 402 threads will list everything you need in detail. Please forgive us if we aren't anxious to type in what is only a few pages back.

Merry Christmas,

Perry

The first five short block are built and starting to ship. I built the first five with a -16cc dish so with a 65cc head and a .052 thick gasket you will see 10.2 to 1. With a .040 thick gasket you will see about 10.8 to 1. Some of the first few people that have ordered are going witha flat top and they will be done soon. So if anyone is looking I have three 402 short blocks on the shelf ready to ship!!

Does anyone have any results yet? How well do cams help. Does it respond different than any LS1/6 based motor?
