I have read some interesting posts on the Corvette Forum on this topic. Some say high reving big cubes or FI motors benefited from the LS2. I have not seen any dyno graphs or track results just talk at this point. I am installing an LS2 intake on a 383 in a ZO6 vette on Monday. The only change is LS6 intake and throttle body to a LS2 intake and Fast throttle body. I will post the before an after numbers when I am done.

On a 346 I say LS6 or LSX. Wanna know why I say that?

Here is an 8 page Thread. Happy reading!

FWIW I was able to trap 122mph with the LSX. Track conditions were not as good as when I posted that so I did not post my results. I definately got my power back and then some with the LSX.

We all will definitely be sitting by our computers on Monday nite waiting for the results. Right now the thought is that the LS6 will be stronger. Many of us would like that to not be the case, so we are looking forward to your tests.

i think what everyone is going to find out, is that when running the bigger cubes and upper rpms; the ls2 is the way to go. When staying with stock or slightly modified the ls6 performs slightly better. SDPC will be testing them out pretty quick. So, if your building the larger 6.0 on up; the only way to go is the LS2. It should in fact make a lot of difference in the larger displacement higher rev engines. I anticipate about 20-25 hp more over the ls6 in this type of applications!

Right a mild 346 doesn't need the plenum volume and runner size that the ls-2 offers. More cubes and a nice heads and cam setup should benifit from it. Just like said above by 1bad57.
