I was wondering if some of the parts made for our current LS1's, LS6's, or LS2's are direct swaps with the LS7. It is basically the same block just stroked out right? I was mostly curious as to whether i could get the 7.0 liter heads and golt them right onto my 01 T/A. And also I am thinking of getting a ZO6, whether or not a TNT wet kit for my T/A can be swapped to the new ZO6. The C6 ZO6 i mean. Are there any other parts that are interchangeable, well any other parts that are worth it?

Trust me, wait for the LS7s, although you'll have to get the LS7 intake to go with it.

I just want to see some honest flow numbers on those heads... I have heard the rumors of 360-370 cfm on the intake, but at what lift?? And what port size??

Based on the earlier post (AFR 225 flow numbers), it looks like the LS7s will be worth the wait. I'm currently running Cartek Stage IV LS6 heads, and it doesn't appear that the AFR 225s will offer enough of an improvement to justify the expense of the swap.

Do you guys think there will be a problem with the valve angularity differences between your current set-up and the LS7? I'm not sure 12 degree heads will work on 15 degree pistons.

I don't think the LS7s are going to make a good upgrade for 3.90 bore LSx motors. The 2.2" intake valve is probably going to create a clearance issue.

Or for those of us that already have pistons cut for 15 degree valves, probably smaller than 2.2" too... in potentially different locations.

LS7 heads will not work on 346. However if they did it would
be like in the Ford camp running a clevlead or yates head on a 302. It
will be outpowered by a smaller head until 6000 RPM....

LS7 heads will be beautiful for the big bore of 4.1 and greater.

Its pretty much a C5R head, and with heads like this the power numbers
will come up so that 600rwhp will be the new "bar".

500rwhp used to be the bar on the 408-434 stroker, now it looks like 550rwhp is.

So will the heads work on our cars or what? I plan to upgrade once they arrive as well if they would work with just a simple intake and head swap.

You need a large bore like siad above. Also the pistons need to be cut for the 12* valve angle.

My 408ci is not big enough? Having work done to the pistons is not a problem.

Vince your engine is just fine....just need to get the pistons cut to adjust for the difference in the angle.

Depending on their price they may just go on my FI setup. I can't wait until I can start this project!
