i've seen 04's(LS1) run mid 13s. i assumed the LS2 would push the 05s into the 12s.

I have an almost stock 05, just headers and turned a 14.7@99.9 at Bandimere. Corrected for altitude is 13.08@110.88 sea level. That is with severe wheel hop which is about to be fixed.

Is it possible to get rid of the wheel hop without ridding the GTO of the IRS? I know Corvettes and Vipers have IRS with minimal wheel hop so I'm wondering how that works out.

I beleive BMR makes a kit to eliminate wheel hop on them and CTS-Vs.

It's an M6 and the wheel hop fix is Koni adjustables and springs. I have all sitting in my garage waiting for me to get the time to install them. Others have found various solutions but most have had good luck with the Konis.

Shifting fast is not my problem, I've raced sticks for decades. The problem is 60 ft. times, related to stock all season tires and wheel hop. My best 60 ft was 2.1 sec, with the right suspension and DRs that should be 1.8.

for the most part, stock 05's seem to go low 13.0-13.2s at around 105
while the 04's seem to go 13.5-13.8 @ 103-105
