LS7 crate engine is part number 17802397
GM LIST: $16,995.00
So yes, they've got the price out

The contest was only on LS7Power.com, but was mentioned here several times:

I thought I saw it for 12xxx somewhere else............strangely enough pricewise right now it is LS1>LS2>LS6. Odd, the 6.0 truck is only 3600? Maybe this place is full of ****.

ahh i would say the ls2>ls6 since its got a lil bit more displacement and it makes similar hp, more room for improvement!

A number of dealers are selling it for under list price; IIRC, SDPC posted a $12k-range price they'd be selling it for

Okay fellas, I've been slacking and haven't listed the GM List price as we finally got the official word in last week.
As ACW so eloquently stated: * GM List Price is $16,995.00 *

So, the winner will be ... TransAm325 -$16,550.00
If TransAm325 doesn't claim the prize, then Vertigo, will be next in line.

Thanks for the patience. It was fun while it lasted and MAN, how much longer could GM have made us wait?

SDPC has changed their price, in accordance with the GM price. It is now around $13,500. Rumors about a $12k price are just that - rumors.

12K for a 427 long block is a nice deal.
