LS7 Engine Accesories
Also - has anyone been able to purcahse a 2006 parts CD and service manual for Corvettes? I contact Helm in the fall and they said it was in development and would send a post card when available.
After further review, the only questionable item is the idler tensioner. The 2004 & up C5/6 water pumps appear to have the bosses machined about 0.070" closer towards the block and a different idler is used on these motors. I have one of these on order to verify final installation.
You are correct in your assumption that the LS7 harmonic balancer is offset to accomodate the longer snout yet line up with existing hardware
So, yes the C5 and C6 accesory drive will line up with the factory LS7 harmonic balancer. No, the F-Body accessory drive will not line up... nor will the truck drive. Yes, it been tried and proven... and yes there are LS7's running around in C5's and C6's with their corresponding factory GM accessory drives. Bill

Let me know what you find out about this- I'm planning on using the LS2 waterpump, and my A/C bracket was designed and built around a 1999 Corvette waterpump and tensioner. Thanks!

On the LS2 waterpump, the tensioner mounting ears are ~.115" closer to the engine block face than the earlier LS1 pumps. I bought a new LS2 pump and compared it to my LS1 pump myself. Now I have to make spacers for my tensioner to bring it back to where it needs to be for the 1999 Corvette accessory drive system that I have. The good news is the waterpump pulley itself is 1 7/8" shorter (closer to the block) than the LS1 pump. That leaves more room for the electric fan on my S-truck!
