The Vic. Jr. intake is not set up for the LS7 ports (if I recall correctly), so it obviously wouldn't work with the WP LS7 style 12* heads. This intake should fit fine with std. 15* heads on a WP std. deck height block. If you wanted to use it on the WP tall deck block, you'd need spacers and again traditional port heads.

!! You do not need spacers with this block !!

!! It does not matter if it is a standard or tall block !!

12* heads = 12* intake
15* heads = 15* intake

I can't wait to see pricing on this. It'd look at home in a 70 Chevelle

I was referring to spacers between the intake and heads not the block and heads.

At any deck height significantly different than 9.240" (my guess would be plus or minus .300"), you would need to either have a different or modified or shimmed intake manifold. The distance between the intake ports of the left and right banks of cylinder heads will grow or shrink with changes in deck height. It's straight geometry.

Guys,
Come on, if you move from 9.24" up to 9.8" deck height at 90 degrees you either need spacers, a new manifold or a different hobby

93Polo,
I am working on developing carbed manifolds for our platforms, yes. ETA is obviously the next question. I don't have an answer as I'm still developing it.

Understood thats why I was asking if they were bringing an intake to market. It'd be nice to see both carb and a more OEM style intake offered. It is just a matter of time until everything starts hitting the market.

Thanks for the info guys.

World guys, can you shed some light on these questions?

I don't think you've flowed the heads yet, but what about the other stuff? Based on the price for these as cast heads and the size of the valves, I have to assume these heads will ship with the Ti intake valves and sodium filled exhaust valves... correct?

Headswill be shipped as bare castings or assemblies with 5/16 stainlessvalves. Titanium would have to be ordered as option.

Yes you can run a 4.500 crank with special cam and such and maybe people will make a 4.375 crank. Who knows. Eagle already was making 4.250s and you can get a custom crank even larger as long as you know what you are doing!

We are doing a 4.500 stroke at the school and it goes in pretty easy except for the camshaft clearance and that area but it's going together. I don't see that being any different of the tall deck world either and the cylinders are a little longer as well.

racer,
I am quite sure that the block you are using in your build is not one of our blocks, our casting differs from GM's casting. As well when most people ask if the block will accept a given component they mean bolt in not with additional machining. Given that you are at a school of automotive machining I am assuming you are making machining modifications in the block as well as re routing the outer oil galley line. am I correct?

Eric,

Can these "extended deck" arrangements achieve strokes of greater than the 4.5" which is already tremendous?

What is max stroke that can be attained on stock 9.240" deck, 9.840" deck, 10.2" deck?

All of us would be interested in this factet.

Thank you,

Dennis
