I believe that the LS7x heads will fit on LS1/6 blocks, sleeved ofcourse, which is what I plan on doing. An LS1 intake will not work with these heads, however, an LS7 intake is designed to bolt right up to these heads.

Thanks Warhawk, I did some research and I found where to get the intake, but I just read a thread about t.b. issues now. I am still a good 9 months or so away from getting this baby finished, so I am sure everything will be ready to go by then. From everything I have read, you will definitely have my business.

Chris.

I'll have them. As a matter of fact, I'm using the Warhawk in "all" of my engine packages. Cost will vary but it will start around 20K and go up from there... <(Depending on options)

I'm not really selling to the asphalt guys, "yet" strictly dune folks... But I will share any engine scooby with you guys once these things start hitting the dyno... If anyone is interested....

PS: Mods you can delete my post if it goes against the advertisement rules... But I don't "think" it does... I didn't give out any company info.

Possibly 4.625 but the cam is starting to have to be made pretty small to clear and the oil galley might be extremely close and wouldn't go with many rods.

Is there a 10.2' deck version of the Warhawl LS7X block? I've had a 9.800" on order, but a 10.200" would be cool!

Could someone be kind enough to fill me in as to what is so special / different about this block? I mean basics b/c i don't really know much about this field...

For example is the block material stronger than iron? Will it be able to accept a longer stroke/bore than any other block would be able to thus far?

What about using this block/heads in different platforms, such as a gen 1 set up?
I read an article on the net that said the block had mounts for a gen 1 or LS style mount.

What about the bellhousing?

vertigo, read here.

The block is able to accept longer strokes than most ls-based engine blocks currently on the market.

Another great selling point is the fact that the cylinder walls aren't bored paper thin in between, and they also have provisions for two extra head bolts per cylinder (when used with Warhawk heads).

There's almost too much to list, if you really want a quality learning experience, complete with illustrations, check out the write up in Chevy Rumble this month.

This engine is still aluminum, but beefed up in all the right places.

The cylinder lengths are more of a limit than deck height. 4.250 can easily go in the 9.240 block but the cylinders are very short. All these newer blocks have a little longer cylinders as well.

6.125, 6.200, 6.250, 6.300 etc. Not too many on center LS1 rods though in these size except 6.125 and a few 6.200s.

OmniRex'
Warhawks are fully dry sump capable. Remember they are priority-main systems and depending on your usage, you might not need to spend for dry sump.

Thankyou! This is almost scary!! At that price why would anybody go with something other than this block? From the sounds of it this almost sounds like an extremely reliable setup that will provide monster power! With those cubes do you think 550-600 rear would be easy with boltons and a med cam N/A?
