Use a C5 or C6 corvette accessory drive... if it will fit within engine compartment without interference... otherwise you will need to contact March or somebody like that as no other factory GM accessory drive will line up due to the LS7 specific harmonic balancer / offset... which is due to the longer LS7 crank snout.

Cam? Katech has been doing ALOT of work with the LS7... give those guys a shout.

Hit up the corvetteforum.com under the C6 ZO6 section.
If you search, there are a few threads with vendors already supplying cam packages for the LS7, along with headers, tuning software etc.
LG,
21st Century Muscle Cars,
Vette Doctors,

One of those guys should be able to get you what you need.

Congrats, that will be one badass Camaro when you finish it. The 427 LS7 is a very impressive engine.

Sounds like an awesome project! As mentioned, just get the C5 or C6 accessory drive. If I could offer some other advice, I just received my wiring harness from Speartech last night for my LS7...what a piece of Art!!!! I would highly recommend using this harness with the stock OEM PCM to maintain excellent driveability. It is very clearly marked and should be a snap to install.

Good luck!

i was just reading the Hot Rod and in it, GM recomended the CTS-V accessory drive because they say it will keep everything closer to the motor. there are some pictures of what it looks like in the article.

Due to the oil pump system on the LS7 the accessory brackets have a different offset than the other LS engines so you will have to use the 06 Vette parts. We are in the process of testing some bracket spacers on a 2006 GTO that we have in the shop. If they work we will have them on the market soon.

Does anyone have a response to what Hot Rod said?

Great minds, apparently, think alike. I am building a '68 Camaro with an LS7. Actually, on Saturday I'm finally going to get the car off to bodywork. What plans do have for your car beyond the LS7? Mine is going to be a Pro Touring type of build with the focus on all around performance.

As far as a cam is concerned, I plan to use an LG cam. Their results in the other thread speak for themselves, I think.

I have been thinking that the CTSv accessories may line up with those on the C5/6, but I have not been able to test this out. These pictures make it look as though it should work. Top is LS7, then CTSv, then GTO for good measure. The top two appear to be at the same depth to me, and the GTO looks the same as F body. The links below give a HUGE version of each if you want to look very closely.

Actually chris that is what ours is also we are using almost everything dse makes on the car! literally we got the quadra link rearend, tubular front control arms, deep tub kit, dash, battery mount kit for in the trunk, vintage air, steering gear, subframe connectors and more.we have dry fit the rearend and put the deep tub kit in and so on. we are taking our car to my uncles body shop maybe on thursday to put the quarters on and then we are taking it back to dry fit the engine and weld the subframe and connectors on permanently then well take it back for final body and paint.
