jegsperformance, summit, fred beans chev, 12,999 for engine.
tran-steer 12,395 for engine.

gm tank and hoses quite expensive, lots of aftermarket dry sump tanks available for less than half price. use a local hose supplier. oil pan uses 2 non AN hose fittings.
AN adapter - seen one made by wheel to wheel performance near detroit, michigan. street and performance may have adapter as well.

wheel to wheel did a good honest dyno(rare to see) on ls7 for a customer.
no playing with temps, or barometer, using unknown dyno headers.
tried several throttle bodies incl fast. umi throttle body with spacer showed 8 hp more across band. topped out at stp dyno at 564 hp at 6000, 543 ft-lbs
at 4800.
dyno info was on this site some time ago. found pictures of engine and hose adapter and dyno at www.ihp.com under gtr kit car info.

Basically you are looking at $13K for the motor TB to pan @ SDPC, Fred Beans, Jegs, & others. This does not include the oil tank and lines. So basically you will have to buy a oil tank and have some lines made. The GM tank # is 12603281 or you can do a custom one. The GM tank lists for $1267!!

tran-steer says they can't get the LS7 crate engine because they're all going into production vehicles, so, if someone can get them they'll probably be the $13,000 variety. I saw the oil tank on ebay for about $850 from the same guy who is asking $16,900 for his crate engine there. Try Shaun Carter at valvegod@aol.com

Yep would get tank local - easy job and would have to fit in the transplant car! http://www.tvr-cerbera.com/index.php...rofile&user=66

Are Hybrid builders using the fly by wire or switching to a manual throttle (like I did on my LS6 TVR Swap)? Same size Tb but not via GM?

I agree but $12,999 shipped, if shipping cost is included, is the cheapest I've seen an LS7 crate motor by at least a few hundred $.

That price was posted by Scroggin-Dickey months ago when the motor first became available...

Chaps do the above prices include the std LS7 Z06 clutch and cover?

Also I (presume) that all the dry sump pump gear IS included.

Last question what sized MAF does the 7 used compared to the 2's 90mm. Is it the same or bigger? would prefer to use manual (just easier all round) Throttle body - can you get the LS7's sized one in a manual optio as per the few that are available for the 2 and 6.

No oil tank for the wet sump..use a NW mm throttle body it is cable operated..

The LS7 crate comes with a clutch. It has all the dry sump gear except for the tank and lines. The stock LS7 MAF is a probe type MAF that just sticks into the intake tube. It essentially is just the 'guts' of the MAF without a ring built around it. The size and shape of the tube the probe is in greatly affects the way it functions, so unless you were using the LS7's stock intake, it'd be a tuning nightmare. Someone on here has used the LS2's 85mm MAF with the engine though. The throttle body is 90 mm and is the same as an LS2, so finding a cabled one is not a big deal. It might be easiest for you to use an aftermarket computer that can use the cabled throttle and get rid of the MAF entirely and run speed density. $12,999.95 shipped is a deal, too; to bad free shipping in the continental US isn't goning to get it to you. Looks like this when you get it (had tho take the clutch and flywheel off to put it on the stand in the second shot):

Cheers Guys - can we have a vote on which is the BEST after market 90mm throttle body - (I have heardsome are crap!).

Pity I would not be able to use the Header! Presume it is a sort after item and could sell on? (I have to go forwards with custom made headers for a TVR).

I am know hearing the dry sump pump will get in the way of a TVR chassis rail by someone that has already tried it. So might end up having to go for a worked LS6 or LS2 with cam and CNC heads (will all be on a custon free flowing exhaust system) for high 400bhp numbers. Please see my other post.

Many Thanks
Jon
