#1 who did you get your motor through?
SDPC shortblock, I assembled and installed the longblock.
#2 how is it running around town and at the strip?
Runs great around town, no track times yet.
#3 what crank, pistons and rods did you get?
Diamond pistons, Crower rods and Eagle crank.
#4 what heads, headers and cam if you don't mind telling the cam?
AFR 225's, QTP 1-7/8" and 3" Y, Rapid 244/250 cam.
#5 what are the #'s (jet or stang dyno)
No dyno numbers yet.

Rapid builds killer 402's that are proven to put down big numbers.

#1 SDPC
#2 Runs Great around town, no track times yet
#3 eagle crank, diamond pistons, crower rods
#4 Afr 205's, Kooks 1 3/4" and 3" y with cats, tsp ms3 cam, Fast 90/90
#5 On a dyno jet I made 471rwhp 440 rwtq through a locked a4 at 10.9.1 compression

I feel with bigger cam and some induction work I should beable to get real close to 500 rwhp.

Basically this is the same set up I had on my stock bottom end ls1 before I blew the motor. The heads have been milled to 61cc and work good on the motor. Where my set up lacks is in the cam and in the induction. The 75mm lid and maf need to be upgraded to 85mm and my intake needs to be ported. I actually gained 10hp on the dyno just by descreening the maf. Once I upgrade these last few parts I am hoping for 500 rwhp.

1. W2W Shortblock, I assembled and installed complete motor.
2. On the street the car runs great, 10.69 @ 133 1.60 60' 100 Shot at the track. Should be low 10's with a better 60'.
3. Mahle Pistons, Callies Crank, Callies Compstar Rods
4. TSP/Patroit Hand Finished 59cc LS6 Style Heads, Kooks 1 7/8 Headers, TSP Texas Giant Cam 248/254 .622/.614
5. First dyno was 485RWHP/440RWTQ, but I have worked on the tuning at the strip and have ran consisantly in the 10's. Probally around 510/480 range NA.

im running eagle, and a few of are other 8 and 9 second cars are also. cracks are 4340, there are only a few company's that make cranks, then places like eagle, lunati ect puts some small touches on them, and throws there name on them, so with a decent name callies, eagle lunati ect you cant go wrong.

Default new 402 questions

i am putting a 402 in my 98 ta and got a couple questions just wondering how and what you did with the knock sensors n also what one you think would better high compression or low compression for a dual stage 250 shot on a 402.
thanks
