I own a 2002 SS Camaro with M6 transmission, OEM tires, and 3.42 gearing. Is my 3.42 the perfect gear for this 427 and everyday street driving.

Depends on cam selection. With our Stage II K.spec cam it will be very nice.

Sorry. You can run it wet sump if you want. You won't sacrifice longevity, but you will sacrifice power due to windage at high rpm.

Now that Jason is on the line, that block is beautiful good job. Saw the thread with cam selections, HP, TQ that you did with this block. Which cam would you suggest with a 3.73 automatic and keep street manners. Thanks.

Thank you. Sweet. I love this forum, you get the pros to answer all your ignorant questions. You don't have to tie up phone lines, LD fees and somehow it seems more personal.

The pics of the C6R remind me of the Houston Grand Prix and I get to drooling... What a wicked sound.

No problem..Thanks!!
What's your best rough guesstimate ...max loss = 20 - 25 HP @8000 rpm??

I wouldn't hesitate going for dry sump except every system I've seen I'd lose my AC compressor for the sump pump. Any alternatives??

At 16 I would have said screw the AC.....now the air is important.

Cheers,
joel

I've thought about this. I guess I need to think some more Tom.

...I'm going to go with the 3.22xx for the track.
