I ask this question, not only for answers to my own questions, but to see who has what when it comes to comparison between this monster GM masterpiece and the reputation of new parts and expert local shops... can't wait to hear your answers!!!

I have a 230/230 114 cam, stock heads, Magnacharger at 5psi, and longtubes.

More than enough to hurt a C6 Z06's feelings....550 rwhp. There was one trying to keep up with me at Road Atlanta in April, but he hated those long straights behind me

They aren't that quick. My uncle ran one with headers/tune/intake at AMS in his 404ci C5 Z06 and knocked it down a notch.

It might be a bit different for the F-Bodies though.

nothing yet, im just waiting with 12k in hand to start a motor build, but dont wanna pay twice, or pay dearly. I am very interested in 408, and very into that 418, but if a LS7 is easier and benefits me more, than its the stout ground i need to start on-financially.

the build listed is a wet sump conversion, built by sdpc!

Now that this option is available just run the LS7 wet sump long block i have listed here. everything you need for a full turn key motor is listed. when i had my LS2 403 built in march, this option didnt exist, matter of fact it didnt exist until last month. this is what i would do. although my '04 Z06 with the LS2403, which hasnt been on a dyno, should beat the new C6Z06.
