Default L92 flow results with manifold.

So we did some touching up on some L92 heads. We opened up the exhaust and just barley touched the bowl area on the intake side. The radius to the seat on the intake needs some attention to it, but thats all. These results were done on a superflow 600 bench, 4.100 bore, 28" water.

No manifold
.100_64 .200_156 .300_230 .400_274 .500_318 .600_349 .700_341

With manifold
.100_67 .200_153 .300_224 .400_268 .500_301 .600_323 .700_323

Exhaust was done with no pipe. So numbers will be lower than if there was a pipe on it.

.100_46 .200_124 .300_162 .400_192 .500_215 .600_227 .700_234

Enjoy. Hope this helps everyone out.

Strong flow numbers, that's for sure. I can't wait until there are a lot of dyno results out there.

Nice work Rick. The flow with the intake isn't far behind the LS7's! Thanks for posting your results.

Nice! Looks like there marginally better than the FAST set-up. Has anyone thought of flowing just the intake to see what it is capable of suppoting?

Hey Rick,

Thanks for the info. Was the intake the GM carbed manifold or the EFI manifold?

Did you do any work to the manifold to get it to flow so well on the heads?

Thanks,
Glenn

I think his tests were done with the plastic L76 intake.

Marginal......... looks like the intake flow numbers equal cathedral port numbers with no intake. My L92 and L76 are ordered.

I think there's going to be a bunch cathedral port door stops laying around in the near future.

the only work done to the manifold was: taking it out of the box it came in.

Good stuff Rick. Need to send that intake off to Mamo to have him port it. Might be some further gains!

The only thing that sucks is that the intake is a one piece unit. Not sure how much meterial is in it.

I am not sure if you would even call it that. More like fixing something.

Rick
is it a bonded multi piece such as the ls2?
or more like an ls6 that is more of casting?
