I do not no the specs lg does not say. The car is a 6speed its heads and cam right now,the stock bottom has some blow by. I had a Procharger on it with differant heads and cam and blew a head gasket I sold the Procharger and went with ETP heads and a Track cam from Thunder racing, now I think it may have broken rings, So now I am thinking of a ls2 408 and was going to change cams anybody have some suggestion on a cam? I thought about trying a G5X4.

I would NEVER buy a cam that I don't know the specs on!!! I mean if you don't know the specs how do you figure your DCR? I'm having a 408 built and I just got a Comp XER 244/248 .612/.615 112+2. This cam seems to be pretty popular on this site.

Call Thunder and have them custom spec you a cam. G5x- series is designed for stock cubic inch motors.

Just make sure your running fair amount of compression, alot of these 408 cams have a very late closing, great for peak power, but a dog if you have under 11.5 SCR.

Not to hijack, but Fraser, on a 408 build my 5.3L heads are 63cc, am I better off with -8cc Wiseco at 11.4SCR or -10cc at 11.1SCR? I live in Florida and my friend nuked his engine, #7 piston, this past summer 11.7SCR. I'm paranoid these days. My DCR will be somewhere around 8.1

thunder racing is who designed my cam, based it on another car they had in there and the cam worked amazling well on the low end and still shined on the top end like its built for.

Myself? i'd go with Diamond -2cc pistons, MLS gaskets and 63cc heads, calculating mentally i'm finding 12.1 SCR.

Alot of people seam to damage #7 on nitrous, we havn't had issue with that IIRC.
