Default Idle video - LS7 with 40 deg. overlap @ .050

I thought this was interesting. Today in the cold weather you can see the cam pulses in the exhaust.

10.9 isn't all that great, but 131.5 mph in a full weight F body is haulin!!! That thing should be good for lower 10's I imagine. Do you have the slip from the 1/4 run? Sounds great too.

Traction is obviously an issue. 60fts are in the 1.6x range.

131mph in a 3560lbs car with 640hp

I went 127.4mph in a 2850lbs car with about 505hp (440rwhp/385rwtq). Stock LS1 with AFR 205's/cam/headers/LS6 intake/T56.

I would've thought the LS7 Camaro would trap in the mid 130's.....

If you put the weight equal (actually 700lbs more) My car should trap 120mph.

Add the difference in power of 140hp (14mph approx) on top of that...... shouldn't that mean a few mph are missing and it should trap mid 130's?!?!

Only explanation I can think of is that the Camaro didn't powershift.

You're right, we didn't powershift. The 3-4 would probably be the only one that doesn't spin the tires.

10.9's is kick *** for only a 1.6 60 foot and radial tires. i ran 11.1 all motor(no power shifting) on a 346ci,but i have slicks and a lo-1.4 60 foot.

gnx7, why don't you look at lbs per horsepower?

LS7 camaro:
3560 lbs w/ driver. 640 flywheel hp.
3560/640 = 5.56 lbs per hp.

LS1 RX7:
2850 lbs (w/ driver?). approximately 505 flywheel hp.
2850/505 = 5.64 lbs per hp.

both are pretty close in the power to weight ratio. camaro has the slight advantage, so it goes slightly faster.

for what its worth, I put the figures into an ET calculator and got...
rx7, 440rwhp, 2850 lbs = 10.85 @ 125.5
camaro, ~560 rwhp, 3560 lbs = 10.79 @ 126.3
