I thought this was interesting. Today in the cold weather you can see the cam pulses in the exhaust.

If you put the weight equal (actually 700lbs more) My car should trap 120mph.
Add the difference in power of 140hp (14mph approx) on top of that...... shouldn't that mean a few mph are missing and it should trap mid 130's?!?!
Only explanation I can think of is that the Camaro didn't powershift.

gnx7, why don't you look at lbs per horsepower?
LS7 camaro:
3560 lbs w/ driver. 640 flywheel hp.
3560/640 = 5.56 lbs per hp.
LS1 RX7:
2850 lbs (w/ driver?). approximately 505 flywheel hp.
2850/505 = 5.64 lbs per hp.
both are pretty close in the power to weight ratio. camaro has the slight advantage, so it goes slightly faster.
for what its worth, I put the figures into an ET calculator and got...
rx7, 440rwhp, 2850 lbs = 10.85 @ 125.5
camaro, ~560 rwhp, 3560 lbs = 10.79 @ 126.3
