Yeah, I would think its only a couple big pieces, as long as it didn't get broke up after it came of the rocker. I agree on the reconstructing it though. Let us know if there's anything we can help with. I'll look at rounding up some parts for you.

Thanks Ed. I'll pop the head off tomorrow. Hopefully ALL of the pieces will shake out.

Sorry to see the rocker failure. It seems the pushrod side of the rocker is a cramped area on the factory 15º heads. It gives us the biggest headache when setting up for mechanical roller cams. Like Shawn, we've seen a number of aftermarket rockers fail. The factory rockers are stiff and lightweight but the factory needle bearings are not the best. So far the rockers that have impressed us the most are the bushed factory rockers offered by CHE Precision.

We're a dealer for them and recommend them for applications with heavy spring pressures. The bronze bushing eliminates all the loose moving parts. They can rebush all LS1,2,3 and 7 rocker arms. New or used.

Thanks Richard. I've heard of failures with the upgraded trunions by Comp.

PM me a price if you would please.

Thanks,

Kevin

I like the looks of this system Of course it's super expensive and the rockers ride on a DLC coated shaft system!

Got it all broken down ready for the head to come off. I'm out of time for the day so I'll order up the head gasket and rockers this week and finish the top end look see. Hopefully, all the pieces will be sitting around the lifter bay area.

Does anyone know the average difference in in PR length going from stock to YT rockers and vice versa? I've got a couple of sets but it would be nice is they are close to the same length. I'll measure and check anyways.

I did get my first look at the intake ports on the Stage 3 WCCH heads. They are HUGE. My arm got sucked in up to the elbow...

I'll post pics when the camera is charged.

Man that sucks. I have the same rockers. Hope the piece didn't make it's way in the motor.

Heard back from Jim at Yella Terra. A replacement is being sent out immediately. Great customer service.

This from Jim by email to my question of were there any other failures of the offset rockers...

No we haven’t …..Twenty L92 offset arms out of a production of 3000 arms got thru and we caught it in time ….Unfortunately, yours was the one …..

Ive been to the forum…thanks for the comments…and as mentioned the main issue was with the pushrod cup machining on some of these arms.

…Replacement Arms may take a few days due to shipping them out of Melbourne Australia…but will try our best to get them to you earlier

Very good customer service but the incidents per thousand (IPTV) is very high on those. I am impressed he said how many failures they had in that spill.

Maybe people will get a better perspective on LS7 lifters and stock rockers and their actual failure rate. I bet they are about .5/1000 at the most.

More from Jim:

Hi Kevin,

Chances of having another suspect one is slim …..To be on the safe side Im sending you out a complete new set…and if you don’t mind send the rest of the set back to Meridian.

We also stand by the YT products and any US customer who is in doubt can ask any Australian Performance customer about Yella Terra and they will see that we are both reactive and proactive ….

In the meantime I’ll give you an update on the new set

Thanks Kevin

That's great customer service from YT, but I'd still rather run a factory rocker arm and live with needle bearings spilling as the worst case scenario.

Sounds like pretty good customer service. I'm liking the rockers that Richard put up tho. Sounds like a very good compromise.
