Default Max bore on L92 block??

I have heard of 0.030 over on LS2 blocks. Does anyone know if the L92 block is capable of being bored ? If so how much while still retaining strength ? This will be used on N/A or small shot of N2O. Thanks.

HHMMMMMM. I am thinking of boring an L92 block out, putting in bigger studs, and topping it off with TSP's new ported LS7 heads. It might go in my 2900# mustang. This will be my daily driver / street race car. With 150-200 shot it should be a very potent package.

That's something I've been really wanting to try. I'd like to see if the l92 on a 4.100 bore would be possible with the LS7 head.

Well you guys would be the ones to see if it would work. I would like to know for sure that combo would work. As far as the chamber hanging over on the deck surface. I just want to make sure that the valves and chamber would work on that bore.

Can the L92 be bored to a 4.100?????

I would like to do it but I need to know for sure if the sleeve is thick enough to go 4.100. I would also put in a 4.1 stroke. It would be 433 cid according to a cid calculator.

per the gm service manual the l92 block can be bored out .020 which they also offer piston in that bore which would be 4.085, anything else has yet to be determined?? it would probably require having it machined to accept bigger sleeves

I know GM will not say to bore it over much. I am looking for some bigger shops that have sonic test some of these to see.

Where is SDPC, TSP, speed inc., W2W, and all these other guys.

4.1 bore with a 4" stroke is 422 ci.

FWIW. there are ways to make the ls7 heads fit on a smaller bore.....
