l86 crankshaft in l83
That's crazy. And awesome. But weird. I thought they only did forged cranks in OE boosted applications.

Being that the L83 and L86 use the same transmissions the flex plate/converter deal should be easy to figure out.

The l83 has a cast crank and powdered metal main caps.

Also the center of the 5.3 crank doesn't support a typical throw out bearing/bushing, it won't bolt up directly to a manual, you need a spacer.
