GTR's are over complicated in their design. Too much computer control, not enough human control. Further, each & every engine needs it's own trans.. The trans. is individual to its' engine. So, if the trans. goes, the factory has to send a replacement, no aftermarket business. In Japan, the GTR is top speed limited to 105 MPH unless a satellite indicates that the car is @ a track. Only then is the speed limiter lifted; by the computer, of course. The car is GPS tracked 24/7. For these reasons, the GTR's do suck.
Every year, cars designers are allowing far too much computer integration. Unfortunately, the dim witts in Congress pass laws on the over designs & mandate them for future vehicles. Mercedes even has a car that brakes if you get too close to the car in front of you. Gee, wonder what's gonna happen when the driver of a newer Mercedes gets into an older one & has forgotten that the car won't brake for him or her?
