Default Ex mustang owner, noob from Oklahoma.

Just thought I would stop and introduce myself. I'm now to Chevys, maily the SBC, especially the LS series of engines. I have been a ford guy for the past 5 years(I'm only 24). I have owned every thing from a build 347 92 coupe to a cobra IRS swapped 03 gt. After 8 mustang sin 5 years I decided to change it up. Sold my last mustang just over a year ago.

On to the furure. Decided it's time to build a vehicle I have always wanted. Building an LS powered AWD single cab s-10. Have a typhoon transfercase, and picking up a built 700r4 this weekend. Just have to build the motor now.

I mainly got on here to learn more about the LS series. Specifically the LQ9. Plan on running a carbed LQ9 in my s-10

Mike.

It actually never got finished. Changed engine/ trans combos so much that i sold it after a year and a half of working on it. When I bought it, it had a 2.3l svo motor. 60mm turbo, roller cam, tubular header, FMIC, etc. Made 275rwhp. Got to drive it twice before the motor started smoking really bad between shifts. Pulled the turbo and oil pored out of the header. Decided to yank the motor and rebuild it. Lost interest in that after finding out the cost of building the motor to where I wanted it. Then went to a 5.0/viper spec t56 set up. Traded the t56 for the 347, t trim vortech, and a built c4. T trim ended up being an S trim. Sold that. The final motor ended up being CHP 800hp rated, 347. AFR 185 heads, ford racing X cam, roller rockers, canton pan, match ported & polished cobra lower intake, hogan sheetmetal upper,42# injectors, 75mm tb, 90mm mas air, and NOS big shot 2 stage plate. The farthest I got was the car was all ready for paint. Motor was set in you double check everything. Then lost interest after having my job change my shift and not being able to work on my car cause it was at my buddies shop. I have known my buddy for the 13 years I have lived in oklahoma. Yet his wife doesn't trust me to be in the shop alone.

Oh well. On to bigger and better things.

This was my 03 with the cobra IRS.

My buddy now owns the 347. Has a set of 190 Canfield heads with a big 6## lift solid roller cam and the hogan intake. He is about to add a 76mm turbo. All going in his 91 coupe.
