Default Not so new newbie.

Hey guys. I've been a long time lurker and since I just got a T/A in December, I decided it was about time to join up!
A little background info on me. Im 16, almost 17. I have a good job that allows me to afford the Trans Am without parental help. I also have modding money too. I am really into cars, esp F-bodies and Vettes, and of course old muscle. Im definetly not an import guy.
I respect my car and I dont go out racing nor high speed runs. Too many things could go wrong with my inexperience.
Welp, that's enough about me. Hope to see yall around.

Maybe when I get some mods/experience. Yea I know, I sound like a wimp...hmmm... ...
My first goal is to learn how to drive it. I can drive a stick flawlessly, but I want to be one that can get into the low 13s stock.

I'm 27 and I still enjoy a good high speed run. Once you've tasted it I don't think you'll ever outgrow it. Watch out for the flashing blue lights!

:-P

Yea, damn disrespectful kids.....hehe, atleast I pay for all of my stuff, which gives me the right to have fun with my baby

By high speed run, I didnt mean 140, I mean having fun witht he car.... Go out one night for a cruise, bond with the car, just get on it, as you fly down roads..its fun, and it makes you love your car...I didnt mean do anything stupid..

But Im not one to talk about "being stupid"..i know my cars limits by now :-P

143 6x electronically governed...
passing a mini-van on the shoulder of Interstate 4, doing approximately 120 and accelerating....
Going completely side-ways, white-smoking my old tires until you could see the metal wear indicators....

Im still learning, but I love mY LS1, and the freedom and feeling it gives me!

ps: no tickets or accidents.

Make sure you can control the beast

Welcome to the site. Enjoy your LS1 but do it with caution. You got the right idea, make sure you are comfortable with the car and never put innocent motorists in danger. We all get carried away sometimes and it IS fun but you have to be aware of your surroundings. Good luck and enjoy that LS1!
