Seriously, there is quite a few of you here on this site coming to mine to do nothing but troll. I figured if I posted on this site you could talk all the trash you like and keep it here. I hope I am wrong about the majority of the members here (I am sure I am), but a few of you really have not made a good impression for this site In my eyes. I hope to be proven wrong.
BTW, I am the guy who claims to have gotten lucky and beat a Z06 on the street.

NOPI Nationals Firebird Raceway PHX March 19-20

The first day started out cold, a little breezy, and sprinkled on and off slightly throughout the day. My first pass wasn't very good as I miss shifted and ran a 13.81 @ 101.77 (1.770 60ft). I got laughed at bad... Robert (my shop head mechanic) was talking some trash about the nasty sounds of "non driving fool" (he said worse) miss-shifting on the track and then he found out it was me, so he rubbed it in a bit. I learned how to drive right after that and followed up with a 12.94 @ 106.2 (1.795 60ft). One really cool thing was my 60ft times. I finally broke into the 1.7's. My third pass was a 13.00 @ 106.49 (1.80 60ft). A little off mark, but consistant enough to back up my other passes. Pass #4 was the quickest of the day where I ran 12.81 @ 107.1 (1.772 60ft). I was excited since I broke my previous record, and this was also the first of my 3 "qualifying" runs for the COMP 4 class. Qualifying round 2... I miss-shifted into third again and this time hurt the tranny. Coming off the track I was unable to downshift without things feeling really notchy. I went to slow down into 1st and nothing but grindage. Rain sat in as I tried to figure out what I had done to the tranny. The event cancelled for the night as I drained the tranny to start my inspection and all I saw was brass sparkles in the fluid. NOT A GOOD SIGN. The cops came and started asking people to leave, so I was unable to go further with my teardown. The next morning I decided to just take my chances... I filled the tranny up and went for a test drive. Shifted fine, but downshifting sucked. GAME ON! The third qualifier was for the quick 8 and I was sitting in 8th clinging to my spot. All I had to do was beat my first qualifying time. I did not, I ran a 12.84 @ 108.49 (1.769 60ft). I was excited that my MPH went way up and even more excited to find out I had qualified to the Quick 8. So the Elimination rounds were next. I was done for... I was the only oddball among an entire field of civics. Gutted and cut up civics, no less. This drew some positive attention from the anouncer who pointed out that I had the only full factory bodied/glassed 4dr ACCORD in the field. This made quite a few people take notice. My last pass, although I was beat by a much lighter car was my best of the event. I pulled off a 12.721 @ 108.30 (1.753 60ft)

sorry to hear about people trolling your site. i honestly hope they aren't from tech, but maybe ls1 or ls2. we've had trolls here and nothing good comes from them. Impressive times for your N/A Accord. Keep on truckin!

agreed. i think most of the people here respect any car that is fast in their eyes even if they joke around saying they dont, but there are those people around that are jealous, hopefully not from here .

WOW, thanks for the nice comments so far. I seriously expected to get flammed right of the bat. On my site, I was met with posts like "only jackasses race accords..." and what not. I admit all the flaming started after I made a post (2 years ago) about a lucky race against a Z06 on and off the track. At the time my car was running solid mid 13's and in one race, I was paired against a z06 at my local track running similiar times. I know Z06's are awsome, but my post was directed more at luck and driver skill, but trolls decided to make it post claiming my accord was a better car than the z06. That was not intended. The thread has all of a sudden popped up with comments (derogatory) from members claiming to be from this site.

I don't know your site and I can't see the pics, but your ET's and traps show me know reaon to flame ya. Seems like a respectable car to me. Remember there are disrespectful idiots everywhere in all scenes. This board is pretty a-hole free, most people only care about going fast. You go fast, no issues. If you have a giant wing, but ugly wheels and stickers plastered on your car, generally all you'll get is your car is ugly comments.

 

Tuner/ Import cars just aren't my thing. I may joke around about them, but if thats what you are into, go for it. Everyone has different tastes. Sorry that you had to put up with some asses. I know that I for one go over to mustangforums to talk with those guys and we dog each other sometimes, but its all in good fun...the way it should be.

 

I realize that there are all different kinds of people and opinions. I respect that, but some of the outrageous comments (posted on the other site) from members claiming to be from this site are simply amazing. Trolls are everywhere... nothing can be done, but I am sure that sooner or later those members "hating" on the other site will get wind of this thread and then the flaming will commence. Don't get me wrong, I really don't want a flame war here... I will lose. What I do want is for those individuals to stop visiting the accord forum where I am from if they can't control themselves. Like I said it is only a matter of time until they see this post.

I want to apologize being the first moderator to post up in here, but sorry for the jackasses going over to your board. Really sucks when we have ignorant asses go over and do that, because we have the "almighty V8 and you have 4 bangers"

I truly hope they are not from here, as we try to hold a higher standard here for loving all cars that GO FAST. not to mention our site is about spreading technical informatoin and what not. average car here on this board are nice 11 sec rides, but we have our 10, 9, 8, and 7 seconds cars here as well.


Once again, welcome to the site, i am sure you can enjoy yourself here. and for the people hating on your board, i will put money down they are just Catback and lid (just an induction mod) cars that can barely run a high 12 if they tried. Usually morons who think their car is the ****, when Me or many other people can just walk over them. Have a good one.

My 12.51@108 SRT-4 put a hurtin to many f-bodies. Some would say..."yea but its still a neon". Most the faster guys really respected it and gave me props.

Personally a 12.7 would be kick *** even if you were turbo...much less NA. Keep it up

 

Just the fact that they went over to YOUR board to talk smack just shows what kind of person they are (ie, have no life..etc).

quickestNAaccord, I'm really glad you came here! I am VERY glad to see that the LS1 community is far better than the useless trolls throwing their name around on our board!

I am a member of the board quickestNAaccord refers to (moderator, in fact... the one that has to delete all the junk posted by the trolls). It is understandable that people will complain, especially since the comparison of a Z06 to an Accord is pretty far out ( especially with the Accord being superior in this case!) The fact is, that the comparison was made against a stock Z06 (which is built for speed and power) and a highly modified Accord (there are VERY few with times like that on our board... no one else that is NA!)

It's good to see the "other side" being supportive. I think I may use my new membership here for more than just replying to this thread! You guys rock!
