Default Hi. I own a rotary engine.

Hello. I'm new to this forum. I love SBCs even though I currently drive an RX-8. Please don't throw tomatos at me. I love all sorts of cars and I'm pretty knowledgable about turbomachinery i.e., forced induction.

I love my car, even though it mainly gets about 19 mpg. They handle pretty good, though not as good as the old FD3S RX-7. It has a much softer ride, but still hard enough to cut through corners. It's also pretty peppy, and it feels as light as my old Celica GT-S. The engine loves to rev, and on the street, you get a lot of looks. My car's pretty damn fast. I can keep up with G35s and 350Zs. Not a lot of good drivers with those cars anyways. As for mods, it's still in its infant stages. GReddy has a turbo kit for this car, but it's a small frame Mitsubishi slug. I'm planning on a GT3037 or GT3076 (the internally wastegated GT3037) setup when I find some money under the couch.

Hello and welcome to the board! Make yourself at home. Personally, I always liked the look of the Rx8 but was always disappointed in its performance. How does that engine do with a turbo? Anything close to an Rx7?

Yeah the RX-8 is pretty underpowered, but it's still a fun drive. As for the turbo issue, we're only limited to small-frame compressors. However, SSR Engineering has a T04E turbo kit, and it supposedly spits out 280+ whp. The 13B-MSP, which is the RX-8 engine, is more complicated than it looks. No longer easy to tune like the old 4-port 13BT/REW engines, this engine has a lot of electronic roadblocks, which makes it very difficult to tune, but some of us have sort of figured it out.

Welcome Dude....BTW...My first car was an 82 RX-7....And even though it had a 12-A(THAT LEAKED OIL LIKE A ****) engine as opposed to the 13-B, it was fast as hell!!.
