Hi, my name is Jet and I'm a... new Trans Am owner. I guess posting in here is the hip thing to do if you're a n00b, huh?
Anyways, I just relocated from New Orleans to Longview, TX thanks to Katrina. I unfortunately had to leave my cars behind and start anew. I was driving a 2005 Scion tC and a 1993 Ford Thunderbird (with the 5.sl0w V8, as you F-Body guys say). I also had a 1985 Toyota Celica Convertible that needed the engine rebuilt. I haven't seen any of them since 8/28, but my tC is already totalled out by my Insurance Company. That's how I got my TA.
I had been AutoCrossing my tC since last November and met a guy with an '00 Trans Am (I think he's on this board somewhere). Then when looking for a new car, I saw a Firebird and decided I just had to get a Trans Am. Monday night I drove to San Antonio and stayed in a hotel. Tuesday I picked up the car and lugged it all the way back (6.5 hours each way) to Longview.
