You can live your LS1/DSM dreams through me...I own both, LOL!

My 2001 SS is my nice weather driver and my 1992 Talon is my drag car.

Im sort of in the same boat as 10.5AWD...

I got a 2001 Z (paid for) with 20k that has never seen a rainy *** road, and 2 1/2 DSM's. (the '1/2' is a spare 90 model engine, trans, electronics, etc.)

All of my DSM's are 90 models. One is my daily rider 'beater car' (256,000k and still gets me to work every day without drinking oil or blowing smoke),
It is still on the road with the stock OEM tranny, fuel pump, computer, engine, etc. When I pulled the head at 200k to do a 'ghetto' head rebuild, it had nearly NO ring ridge... The car is a Mitsubishi freak. The most inexpensive car to drive that we have ever owned. It just won't quit...

The other DSM, I am fixing up for my wife to ride around in. It's allmost ready, Under the hood looks better than a new DSM (flawless, took me months to refinish all the crap). That one has @120k on it. I am hoping that it will serve us well too but it was beat to hell before we bought it. I bought it for $200.00 cash because the stupid kid that owned it could not fix it when it broke down (timing belt). There are not really many parts for either that I do not have a 'spare' for.

I like the DSM's and have actually got 'fair' at working on them. Let me know if you ever need any help...

Good luck with your Camaro/LS1 searching and welcome to LS1TECH.

James
