New to the Board as of tuesday the 13th. I had a Honda S2000 with all the bolt-ons and was running 13.55@105 and giving stock 6M LT1's a hard time on the highway.

But about a month and a half ago while i was bored my friend and I decided to go test drive new cars. I would drive the S2000 and he would race me in the new cars. I had the advantage of experience with my car and drag racing. Well, to 110mph the GT's and the hemi's couldn't get me. But when he was testing the LS2 6M GTO HE KILLED ME by like 2 cars through 2nd gear and after I hit 75mph, it seemed like I wasn't accelerating at all compaired to the LS2.

So with that said i had to test drive one and when i got inside that was it I had to have one. Waited for a 6M PBM on red leather fresh off the truck. So now I'm past the 1000 mile breakin period and like with every car i want to tweak some more power out of it.

I live in Warner Robins, Ga and would definatly like to find a GM shop around me who works on newer GM cars like the GTO LS2 and vetts. Seems like all the locals can afford are 12 year old LT1's and such, so shops have no experience with newer cars. So any help on finding a close shop would be nice.

Have you considered ordering parts and working on the car yourself? Even if you are not very mechanically inclined, most of the bolt on mods are pretty simple, especially with help from very experienced guys on this forum. Or if you get lucky there may be other guys in your area willing to help you out on the weekends when doing some more involved mods. Good luck with it and congrats on the new car.

Yeah things like the K&N CAI and Jet performance MAF sensor have been ordered as well as a B&M shifter. The first two are no problem but the shifter I hear can be tricky on some cars I hope not mine though.

on the new toy. Check the sponsor list on the main page there might be a few in GA that can mod your car.

I don't know what the shifter change is like in the GTO but if it's anything like the change in a Camaro it's cake. Check out the GTO section. They should be able to help you out. But anyway, welcome and enjoy your new toy.
